The placement of top and below sling on one prong is dependent only on the SS L(single static load) and not any other factors. If 4 prongs are used, the placement of slings are not importan t at which prong to place which sling, however, need to make sure that the slings are not criss crossed, it shall fo llow in one direction only.

1. Ground Smooth - Means no sharp edges, more like a cut with curvature finish, to avoid stress concetration

2. Ground Flush - Cutting and griding to base metal thickness, for assembly and fit up, if welded

3. On the main blocks, when 2 prongs are only used, the slings will be place such that, the top sling will have higher SSL than the lower sling. Which means during lift, the top sling with high SSL will hold down the lower sling with lower SSL, else, the low SSL sling will jump off if higher SSL sling in on the bottom and lower SSL on the top. The placement of top and below sling on one prong is dependent only on the SSL(single static load) and not any other factors. If 4 prongs are used, the placement of slings are not important at which prong to place which sling, however, need to make sure that the slings are not criss crossed, it shall follow in one direction only.
