From Annie’s Desk...

Dear Parents/Caregivers

I am so pleased to be here at Bombala Public School. I have witnessed in my short time here, a vibrant little school filled with wonderful students; amazing teaching staff; terrific support staff and I have met some lovely parents and carers. I look forward to working with our entire learning community to ensure that our children are always at the centre of all learning and wellbeing programs. ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and I can already see that we have a beautiful village and that we all work as a team to support every child’s learning and personal welfare.

I was thrilled to analyse the K-2 growth patterns along with the year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN results in the past few days. Our students have delivered outstanding results when looking at their growth across our school. The level of commitment that is given by our staff and our students is wonderful.

We have a busy few weeks coming up, with the many excursions that have been planned previously. Next week, Year 6 will be off to Melbourne for the week. We hope that they have an amazing time down there. We had a meeting last evening to outline all of the activities that the children will be involved in. I was so envious that I am not attending.

We also have the Year 3-4 excursion to Canberra next week, where the children will be staying overnight. Please remember to let the teachers and staff know whether your child needs to take medication on these excursions and give these medications and any instructions about administration to the teacher in charge. Your children are very precious and we want to look after them as best we can!

My door is always open and if any parent or carer has any concerns, please come in and see me or give me a phone call. Your children are my priority.

Kind regards,

Annie Downes

Rainbow Colour Run

What a success! Well done to our amazing community for getting behind this event. The smiles on our students faces were price-less! They made their way around our obstacle course in record time and completed several laps while being splashed with colour. If you still have the monetary donations at home, we ask that they come in ASAP. Also, a reminder to parents to log into the profile portal to select the prizes that match the dollar amount your child raised. To date, over $10 000 has been raised and will go towards the future construction of an Outdoor Learn-ing Hub. Again, a massive thank you to Ange, Abbey, Katrina and Dave for their assistance with organising this event.

Without their help, this event would not of been possible.
