Welcome to Term 3, Week 3 Thank you to all for making our Education Week Open Day so successful. It is always a special day when we share our learning with our parents. It was lovely to welcome Oliver Petrie back as a special guest at our assembly. The Year 6 gift 2018 will be an awesome addition to our garden. We enjoyed Ollie’s presentation about how he made the ‘wicking bed’ and the benefits it will have as part of our gardening program.
A special shout out to Jessica Hardie who won the Stage 2 section of the RIEN Spelling Bee Competition. What is extra special about this achievement is Jess is in Stage 1. Fantastic effort!
A reminder if your child is sick to let the school know so we can keep accurate records.
Book week is fast approaching. Mrs Haworth sent home a note this week to give families time to think about costuming for the Book Character Parade. Our Book Week activities will be on Wednesday 21st August.
Next Friday is the Lower Lachlan Athletics Carnival which will be held in West Wyalong. Mrs Stokes will accompany the team. Thank you, parents, for your support with travel to this event.
Jasmine Burns was one of the recipients of the Director’s Educational Leadership awards, which were presented by the Director, Mrs Karen Burke in West Wyalong on Monday. Congratulations Jasmine.
Congratulations to Lily Hueske who is our Citizen of the Week. Lily is a respectful, responsible learner who engages fully in all aspects of school life. Well done, Lily!
Have a great week! Melanie Johnson Principal
