Disc Golfages 8 through 88 and older adults

Disc golf is, relatively speaking, the same game that people called Frisbee golf 25 years ago, but today’s version is more organized and more refined. Disc Golf is much like traditional golf, only use discs instead of golf clubs. The hole is replaced with a basket. With the more serious disc golfers, there are different discs used for “teeing” off, hitting from the fairway, “chipping,” and putting the disc into the “basket” (hole). This program will allow you to try the different discs (Frisbees) to learn more about the sport! The beauty of disc golf is that even if the course charges to play, it is very reasonable.

Introduction and practice with the discs will be conducted at Greendale Middle School.

Actual play will occur when we meet for the final two classes at the Disc Golf Course in Franklin, at the Sports Complex.

Participants may bring their own discs if they have them.

Dates: Monday-Wednesday #121681.1 July 9-11Time: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Places: Introduction Greendale Middle School Grass area east of the school Actual Play Franklin Sports Complex Enter from Ryan Rd. on 60th St. (Must provide own transportation)Fee: Resident $18.00 Non-Resident $28.00Instructor: John Kozicke, GHS Educator & Intramural Sports DirectorNote: Wear comfortable clothing for being outside.
