When you can’t find a way to fall asleep quickly you feel like this the next day.

• To help you slumber more easily, don’t resort to pills, try these tips instead.

– Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth with the tip of your tongue placed comfortably above the backside of your front upper teeth. Try and count to ten in rhythm with controlled breathing. If you lose focus, start over, if you get to ten, count to twenty and so on. As soon as your mind loses focus start over.

Tip 2: Notsoweird

Create a sleep schedule!– Knowing when you are going to bed every

night gets your body into a habit. Try going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same time for the next 30 days.

Weird Tip 3

• Make a concerns list– Really. Write out all of your worries on a

piece of paper before bed. Your unconscious mind will take this process as a stress reliever. Similar to when you vent to your best friend.

Trick 4: Notsoweird

Have a calming beverage before bed. – Some prefer warm milk while others prefer herbal tea.

• Warm bath or shower before bed. However, if you have a lot of hair you will not want to go to bed with a wet head.

• Try Music – Try binaural beats or music designed to help

you fall asleep faster. A quick search on Amazon of “sleep binaural” will give you several results.

Don’t eat too late and don’t eat too much.– Eating provides energy to the body. It is

unwise to eat a large dinner or a late dinner. Your body has to focus it’s energy on digestion.

Tip 8, another different one

Sing, hum, or give yourself a mantra.

Sing and Repeat. Hum and repeat. Mantra and repeat. Till you fall asleep.

• Shut off all stimuli.– This means phones shut off or muted. TV off.

Computer off. Tablet off. Etc.

• Cool, dark room.– Your place of rest should be cool, comfortable

and dark.
