The activity aims at recollecting the previous lesson. Ask students to answer the
questions according to the pictures. It can be done in pairs. Call their attention to the
use of the pronouns and the verb “ to be” when asking and answering questions.

Students are supposed to watch a video presenting a song about occupations. Focus
on the visual input to raise hypothesis about the context which underlies the whole
lesson. Students can start inferring the meaning of the question “ What do you want
to be in the future?” by analyzing the images. The staccato rhythm of the song
somehow affects connected speech, specially when ‘an' appears in a sentence. In
act.07 ,other samples are provided so that students can get used to connected
speech . Make sure Ss understand the question Give them up to one minute to
answer in pairs. Elicit some answers at random. Then click to check answers.

The activity aims at working with reading skills. Students are supposed to
grasp the whole information given by each character and , based on
cognates, guess the corresponding occupations. This activity can be done in
pairs. First , read the sentences out loud and ask them to repeat. Give
students some time to read the sentences and give the answers.

Pick up a few students and ask who there are going to interview.
Ask personal information like complete name, age, nationality and why they like
him/her. Tell them to check the link of a set of possible questions to be used. As a
suggestion, ask them to record the interview. Alternatively, they can produce paper
posters. As students will need to look up for information, ask students to produce it at
home and in pairs or small groups of no more than 4 students.
Don’t forget to review their project before they present it to their classmates in class.
