• Ensure school age children gain meaningful work experience rolling out the Foundation for Job’s ‘entitlement’ across the Tees Valley
• Coordinate the skills links between Job Centres and colleges
• Ensure across the Tees Valley the number of higher level apprenticeship schemes are increased.

• Lead efforts to build a new congestion-busting bridge over the River Tees.

• A new crossing of the River Tees with a new, eye-catching and iconic bridge;
• Better road access to Teesport;
• Improve A19 and east-west links;
