June 2011
What is ALD?The Accountancy Licensure Database (ALD) is a system that allows states to upload licensing and discipline information to a secure website where it can be shared with other boards of accountancy.
Why ALD?•ALD allows state board staff to verify the licensing status of CPAs with minimal effort
•ALD can contain disciplinary action taken by state boards and that information is available to all boards
•ALD is secure and is only accessible by state board staff members
Why ALD?•In the age of Mobility, ALD is the right tool for locating information about CPAs who take advantage of mobility and practice in jurisdictions without obtaining a reciprocal license
