Magistral manufactures ballistic and safety glass for different types of vehicles, naval and civil ships and boats, rail transport and different industry branches.

Regular process improvement, development and adoption of the innovative technologies and modern equipment and high skilled personnel make it possible for us to be among the leaders of the European manufacturers.

Technological process

Excellent raw materialsTo supply our customers with reliable and high grade products we start from the very beginning of the production chain. We always check raw materials and our suppliers which are internation-al ISO-certified companies.

The best resultAdoption of the modern materials specially selected for heavy duty service in extreme environment conditions including anti-spall polycarbonate film with anti-scratch coating enables our customers to receive bullet resistant glasses with excellent strength and optical performance.

Production

Twice a year quality management system of Magistral is inspected by the independent auditors. We welcome our customers’ involvement to such inspections together with us.

20% of our employees are engaged in the Quality Control activities.

At least 10%Quality Control stations are incorporated into the produc-tion chain.

Quality control

Quality management system complies with ISO 9001:2008 and GOST RV 0015-002

Polished edgesWe use different types of edge polishing to produce lifted ballistic side glasses. Polished edges allow side glasses to move smoothly in door frames of the vehicle.

Sealed edgesBallistic glasses are provided with reliable edge sealing for protection against environmental impacts and for easy mounting into the body of the vehicle.

Complicated glass shapeEspecially for armoring of Toyota Land Cruiser 200 the company experts developed technology that enables to manufacture ballistic glass of any shape to fit the vehicle body perfectly.

The company products are designed for field operation in any climatic environment.

Vehicles equipped with our ballistic glass are operational in either deserts or mountains where the temperature may be near +70 °C that confirms the excellent ballistic glass performance.

This fact is proven more than once be the “Russian winter” with its temperatures lower than −50 °C.

— Electrical heating— Complicated shape

Automotive ballistic glass

At any weatherThe fast growing direction of our activity is production of the electrical heating glazing for the wheelhouses and side lights of the civil and naval river boats and sea crafts. Electrical heating is intended to ensure visual observation at low temperatures and to protect against icing and fogging.

All products are certified according to Russian River Register and Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

Wireless electrical heatingTo improve optical and operating performance of the heated glass units we developed absolutely wireless glass heating system. Thereby there is no more need to incorporate metal wires between glass layers to make it heated. Thanks to our technology the optical performance of such glass units was increased.

Military applications

Professional’s choiceSince its foundation in 1992 Magistral is a reliable partner for its customers. Quality of the ballistic glass units to be supplied according to government contracts is monitored by the representative of Russian Ministry of Defense.

State-of-the-art equipmentDuring these years Magistral took part in many projects including «Tigr» and «Vistrel». At this moment Magistral is approved as a main partner, developer and manufacturer of the glass units for «Typhoon», «Platform», «Medved» and «Volk» projects.

Requirements of high protectionEspecially for «Typhoon» project we developed and success-fully tested ballistic glass protecting from 2 (two) shots with 14.5 mm API B-32 bullet.
