team crc software consultancy
DESCRIPTION
TEAM’s intuitive CRC Software enables you to easily and quickly produce the Annual Report required for compliance with the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. It takes the hard work out of consolidating and quality checking your data, whilst a central database maintains all records for your CRC Evidence Pack. The software is fully integrated with TEAM Sigma, the most widely used energy Monitoring & Targeting software in the UK. The CRC Software has easy to use set-up wizards to manage all supplies included in a CRC Phase. It allows the primary source data for the consumption of any CRC supply point to be inspected and uses the best available data from your energy management database. It includes validation-checking of your data – and can use invoices, meter reads, high frequency data or supplier statements. It automatically fills any gaps in the data using methods approved by the Environment Agency. It calculates how many tonnes of Carbon Allowances you need to purchase for each CRC year and provides the necessary data for any renewable electricity onsite generation and self-supply. The software calculates your CRC allowance cost liability.TRANSCRIPT

Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC)
Welcome simplification of CRC: new rules for phase 2 - covering 2014-19
Transitional rules for the 2013/14 year

CRC phase 2: for Local Authorities
Very good news: schools are not CRC chargeable!
Bad news: street-lighting is chargeable Budget: for the overall effect on costs

Simplification for Phase 2 CRC
Only gas and electricity supplies are chargeable
There is no 90% rule - or footprint report - for Phase 2
www.teamenergy.comEnterprise Energy and Carbon Management Solutions
But…..for Phase 2
Rising cost per tonne CO2: average price UP to £16/tonne in 2014/15 (thereafter £/tonne is inflation-linked)
More complicated operation of the online CRC Compliance Account, starting with the 2014/15 year:
A policy on operating CRC Online Account is needed (and local CRC contact to get payments authorised – and meet surrender deadlines)

Software improvements
CRC Module available in the Sigma Browser Interface (either hosted or a local install)
Re-designed for the Phase 2 Rules A similar interface to the current version CRC Webinar in March 2014 to introduce it

Annual Report is simplified

Advantages of online CRC solution
it allows coherent global updating of these 3 NEW variables!
Variable cost per tonne of CO2 Variable grid electricity and gas emission
factors for Phase 2 - set each year (in line with GHG)
a separate emission factor will be set for self-supplied electricity (as opposed to grid electricity)

To encourage forecasting…
Advance order/purchase of cheaper “forecast tonnes” [starting April 2014, for the 14/15 year, @ £15.60]
Retrospective order/purchase of any “balance” needed (i.e. the “Buy to Comply” tonnes) in the following June/July [starting June/July 2015, for the 14/15 year @ £16.40]
In 14/15 CRC, the 80p difference means c.5 % reduction - if an advance purchase of "forecast tonnes" is made compared with retrospective purchase (of “Buy to Comply” tonnes)
