Prime Minister was addressing a public rally at Maghar, the salvation ground of famous mystic poet and 15th century Saint Kabeer Das in Sant Kabeer Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister said the central government is trying to take along every part of country to the path of development which was earlier reserved for some selected regions only. This rally was part of the celebrations to mark the 500th death anniversary of Kabir Das in which thousands of followers of Kabeer popularly known as kabeerpanthis, and BJP workers in large numbers were present. Prior to the rally, the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited the salvation ground of Saint Kabeer Das and laid foundation stone of Sant Kabeer Academy. He also visited the Sant Kabir's cave, paid floral tribute and offered a chadar at the mausoleum of the famous saint. On this occasion PM unveiled a plaque to mark the laying of foundation stone of the Sant Kabir Academy, which will highlight the great saint's teachings and philosophy. The institute, sprawled in three acres, will be set up Centre working on principles of Sant Kabir Das by adopting 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas' policy: PM at a cost of approximately 24 crore rupees. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi also inaugurated the two-day 'Kabir Mahotsav' at Maghar and saw the performances by famous folk singers Bheru Singh Chauhan and Bharti Bandhu. Delivering 51 convocation address today at IIT Kanpur, Shri Kovind said that Technology can play a major role in multiplying the force in the implementation of welfare programs of the government including Digital India, Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Make in India and Start up India. Shri Kovind asked them to follow four Mantras including get inspired to achieve big things, think big and not to be afraid of failure and to have a disciplined life. He urged the technocrats to use their learning and achievements for the welfare of the country and humanity.
