TCSR started implementing COVID-19 tourism recovery projects in collaboration with the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction (EBRD) with a budget of more than two million euros in thirteen countries

• Projects have already been launched in: Jordan, Egypt, Morocco• Projects are soon to be launched in: Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Tunisia, Uzbekistan• Projects to be launched at second stage in: Armenia, Georgia, Lebanon

UNWTO is supporting the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in preparing harmonized COVID Safety Protocols for 25 Caribbean, Central and South American countries.

Dialogue on collaboration in COVID-19 tourism recovery is on-going with other funding agencies including ADB, AfDB, JICA, UNDP, World Bank, China Chimelong Foundation & China South - South

A COVID-19 Tourism Recovery component was also included in 17 projects that had been developed/launched prior to the pandemic. TCSR has also supported Jordan, Namibia, Malta, Maldives, India, Mauritius, Lao PDR and Timor-Leste during the pandemic with COVID-19 protocols, reviewing of policies, and consulting on current tourism trends.
