TAMC Bridge Asset Management Training 2019 Webinar & Workshop Series In the first webinar, participants will be introduced to bridge asset management and will learn about the evaluation of bridge condition and its related needs and maintenance operations. e second webinar will cover cost estimating and optimization of bridge preservation actions; it will also show how these knowledge areas come together in a bridge asset management plan. e hands-on workshop provides participants with templates and guides them in customizing the templates with agency- specific asset information. Participants will walk away with the tools to complete their own, unique asset management plan and will start draſting their plan during the workshop. Instructors Chris Gilbertson, PhD, PE, is the associate director of the Center for Technology & Training at Michigan Technological University. His efforts are focused on the bridge programs, which offer technical assistance to local agencies and their consultants on load ratings and bridge asset management. He is also involved in bridge design support and science/ technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM) outreach to K-through-12 students. Victoria Sage, MSc, is a technical writer at the Center for Technology & Training, where she writes, edits and reviews, and designs technical documentation and marketing materials for the Michigan Local Technical Assistance Program. She has extensive professional experience in technical and outreach communication and has been a teacher of record for university-level courses in Composition and Journalism. TAMC Bridge Asset Management Training2019 Webinar & Workshop Series

In the first webinar, participants will be introduced to bridge asset management and will learn about the evaluation of bridge condition and its related needs and maintenance operations. The second webinar will cover cost estimating and optimization of bridge preservation actions; it will also show how these knowledge areas come together in a bridge asset management plan.
