Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day – July 18, 2019 Description of Activities Following is a brief description of the demonstrations and activities included in the agenda for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Please read each description before signing the Parental Approval and Release of Liability Agreement. Counterterrorism Division The CTD tour of the Intermodal Facility (Building 811) will cover the rail, subway, and airline terminal gate areas. This tour will conclude with a demonstration of Aircraft Countermeasures training on one of the aircraft in the facility. The demonstration of Aircraft Countermeasures training will take place on one of the FLETC’s training aircraft and will include dynamic scenarios that entail depiction of threats law enforcement officers may face and appropriate responses. Eye and hearing protection will be provided during the demonstration as blank weapons will be fired. Cyber Division This session will focus on the dangers of the internet and ways for children to remain safe. Areas discussed in this presentation will include the dangers of social media and better practices to ensure safety and to help prevent bullying; gaming and the use of gaming monikers and “friends” from online gaming. Finally, we will discuss internet and email usage and the best practices when using email and the internet. The Tactical Medicine Demonstration will include use of a tourniquet, chest seal, packing wounds and use of pressure bandage. Simulated blood is used in the medical portion of this demonstration. Description of Activities

Following is a brief description of the demonstrations and activities included in the agenda for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

Counterterrorism Division

PARENTAL APPROVAL AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

In consideration of permission for my child, _______________________________________ to participate in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers’ “Take Our Daughters/Sons to Work Day” program on _______________.

I, the undersigned, acting on behalf of my child as parent and/or guardian, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the United States of America, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers, from any and all liability for personal injury to my child or damage to his/her property that may occur while my child is participating in the “Take Our Daughters/Sons to Work Day” program, and/or engaging in activities for United States Government purposes, including traveling in any United States Government-owned vehicle and visiting the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers facilities and project sites.

I agree to these terms in return for my child being allowed to participate in the “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” program, accompanying Government employees on visits to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers facilities and project sites, and while traveling in any United States Government –owned vehicle during the course of my child’s participation in the “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” program. I understand that by signing this Release I am waiving certain legal rights to sue or assert any cause of action against the United States, the Department of Homeland Security, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers. GENERAL RELEASE AUDIO VISUAL PRODUCTION PARTICIPATION WITHOUT COMPENSATIONThe audio visual production and sound recording to be made of me on (date) , by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers, is being made with my consent and without compensation. I hereby grant and release to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the United States Government the following perpetual rights:

a. The right to use my name, photograph, voice, likeness, appearance, biographic information and ancillary material in connection with the audiovisual production and sound recording in any manner. This includes the right to record, digitize, reproduce, edit, dub, publish, adapt, and exhibitany part or all of the recording.

b. The right to distribute the recording, in whatever form it may be in, to government, public and commercial organizations and enterprises.c. The right to transmit or broadcast the recording via radio, television, satellite, Internet, or other means.

This right includes the right to license, sell or otherwise transfer the recording and any derivative works to third parties who may transmit,reproduce, edit, dub, publish, adapt, exhibit or broadcast the audio visual production or recording in whole or in part.

This permission is irrevocable and royalty free. I voluntarily waive any and all claims against the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the United States resulting from my participation in the audio visual production and sound recording (including, but not limited to, claims such as defamation, invasion of privacy, and rights of publicity). By my signature, I certify that I hold harmless and agree to indemnify both the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the United States Government from any and all matters pertaining to this production and recording.

Camera/Photography Policy Reminder for “Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day”

The Privacy Act and Operations Security practices limit the use of personal still and video cameras on the

FLETC. For the protection of the identities of law enforcement personnel and for the protection of

information, techniques and strategies that law enforcement officers employ in the execution of their

duties (i.e. – Law Enforcement Sensitive Information), FLETC policy limits the use of cameras while on

Center. Participants in the event are not to photograph (still or video) sensitive FLETC facilities or

training that includes law enforcement techniques. Participants are not to publish, place, or post

personally-taken photographs or video footage on the Internet (including on personal web sites and

pages, in personal blogs, etc.) or media publications in any manner not specifically prescribed according

to FLETC Operations Security policy.

An official photograph of participants is being taken to commemorate the event. We remind the

participants not to take still photographs or video while on the premises of the FLETC except under the

procedures and conditions regarding video/photography as required by FLETC Manual 121-10,

Operations Security Program (Dec 2012), Page 26, Photography Policies.

FLETC employees are responsible for ensuring that their guests adhere to this security policy while

participating on the FLETC sites. For any questions about photography at your event, please call the
