Abstract Urban population is growing all over the world, people tend to move from 

rural areas into cities searching for higher income and better infrastructure. 

According to The World Bank statistics1 urban population has grown from 

around 33% in 1960 to more than 54% in 2016. Such urbanization leads to 

substantial challenges for the cities to provide enough available logistics 

options than can be fast and convenient. These challenges have opened a 

window of opportunity for transportation service providers to grow their 

business and earn much higher profits. However, transportation business and 

infrastructure had to adjust to digital era and become more innovative, 

convenient and user friendly. It can be proved by examples of taxi service 

providers like Uber and Grab, as well as by substantial innovations in public 

transportation ecosystems in majority of the countries around the world.  

Creation of taxi mobile applications has allowed users to order a taxi via 

smart phone, pay for it from the credit card linked to your account, as well as 

substantially decreased waiting time for the users. Moreover, it allowed taxi 

service providers to connect to a mobile application and use its infrastructure 

in order to receive orders, execute them and receive payments. For small and 

medium companies such option not only significantly decreases operational 

costs, but also connects service provider to a big customer base of mobile 

application users.  

Modern transportation ecosystems also allow to do everything via mobile 

phone. It is easy to plan your route and follow it. 

People have got used to seeing advertisements everywhere they go and 

public transport, as well as taxis are not exclusions. However, most of the 

time the majority of advertisements are irrelevant to each particular person. 

Advertisers, on the other hand have difficulties to make targeted marketing 

campaigns and get higher returns on their investments in advertising.  

Transportation and advertising network - Tachain - has found interesting 

synergy in these elements of daily life of every person who lives in urban area 

and is offering revolutionary solution. All the interactions between the 

customer and transportation service provider will be stored in blockchain. 

Customers will be able to rate transportation agents and all the rating details, 

including comments will be available to all other users. Drivers will be also 

able to rate customers and their attitude. By doing all that, customers, as well 

as service providers, will earn TCHN tokens. Additionally, users will be able to 

watch targeted mobile advertisements while driving and earn even more 

TCHN tokens.  

AdNet advertising platform will be created for advertising partners in order to 

easily and effectively integrate their content into our ecosystem. To be able to 

join advertising platform, advertisers will need TCHN tokens. 

Complete token design of TCHN token is described later in the document.  

   

About Tachain Tachain has been created by professional team of software engineers and 

business developers in 2017.  

Tachain is the synergy of three elements: travel and transport application 

“Tachain Transportal”, advertising platform “Tachain AdNet” and token 

exchange marketplace “Tachain TMARQ”. 

 

Tachain AdNet 

Tachain is planning to create AdNet so that application users would be able 

to watch advertisements while driving in a taxi, public or any other transport 

and earn TCHN tokens for this. Advertisers will need TCHN tokens in order to 

get access to the platform and run their ads. Advertisers will pay app users 

TCHN tokens for watching targeted ads. 

We are creating the platform for advertisers and advertising agencies. Every 

element of the platform will get benefits based on market conditions of supply 

and demand. 

Users of Tachain application - taxi or public transport passengers - will also 

get benefits. AdNet is revolutionary platform, which will allow passengers to 

watch advertisements, participate in branding marketing events, lotteries, 

games right during their ride and earn TCHN tokens for doing that.  

AdNet will become an effective marketing tool and will be used by big 

companies, as well as by small and medium-sized enterprises interested in 

promotion of their product, service, or their brand in general. Advertisers will 

be able to buy advertising slots via convenient and flexible interface of 

personal cabinet on Tachain AdNet. It will be possible to create advertising 

campaigns using own marketing materials, as well as preparing them in our 

creative constructor. When creating a campaign, an advertiser will have an 

opportunity to deeply customize targeting settings based on geographical, 

physical and behavioural patterns of targeted audience and chosen type of 

advertising platform. AdNet will allow advertisers to operate with any 

budgets starting from small testing budgets up until complete yearly 

contracts, etc. Advertising prices will be determined by the market, based on 

real supply and demand in particular advertising platforms of targeting.   

Different types of advertising options will be added together with the growth 

of Tachain business, preparation of technical and legal base for operations 

with each particular advertising source. Our advertising platforms will be 

available for: taxi service applications, screens in taxis, advertising stands in 

public and road transport, public rail transport, external advertising stands, 

Tachain Flame device, some specific Internet portals that are compliant with 

our technical and business requirements. 

Rewards on our advertising platform will be paid out in TCHN tokens based 

on CPM/CPI, CPC, CPL and CPS models. The amount will be dependant on 

market conditions and real demand for advertising. 

Exchange of TCHN tokens will be available for all the users of Tachain 

ecosystem on our own TMARQ or on external exchanges. 

Tachain Transportal 

At the moment Tachain application is a taxi booking app for the consumer 

and companies. It is a full service taxi booking application for the taxi branch. 

We organize the backend, trainings, customer service, marketing, screens in 

the taxis and updates in the application. The only thing that the taxi operator 

needs to do is to deliver a clean and convenient car with a friendly driver. 

The application will have smart rating system for taxi drivers and users. All 

the rating information and statistics will be stored in blockchain and will be 

available to everybody using the network. 

In 2018 we will introduce Tachain to the market in the Philippines and from 

October 2018 we will start with 3000 taxis in the city of Manila. 

Further the application will grow into Transportal through which users will be 

able to plan all their activities related to logistics. In general, application will 

become the one solution for time management and logistics planning. 

Tachain TMARQ 

Tachain will create token market 

TMARQ for TCHN tokens.  

There is number of players in Tachain 

ecosystem:

In order to give the players an 

opportunity to easily turnover TCHN 

tokens between them, TMARQ will be 

created that will allow using mobile

matter of seconds, as there will always 

be substantial demand for TCHN tokens by advertisers. Together with the 

growth of Tachain transportation provider network, AdNet is going to grow 

substantially and it will provide long-term growth in TCHN token value.

Mission, Vision and Values The mission of Tachain is to become user friendly and safe connecting link 

between transportation agents and users at the same time giving the users 

an opportunity to earn while driving and watching what might be of interest 

to them.  

We believe that already in the nearest future transportation service users will 

plan their routes via mobile applications, as it is the most convenient way of 

doing that. Moreover, thanks to smart system of order processing, orders can 

be executed in the most efficient and quick manner. We are sure that 

combination of transportation and advertising markets has huge market 

potential that has been already proven in America and Europe. Giving people 

opportunity to additionally earn on advertising in transport makes it even 

more attractive.  

Our vision goes even further and in future we are planning to adjust our 

platform also for Augmented Reality (AR) advertising. Moreover, we are 

planning to create Tachain Flame device which will allow to earn TCHN 

tokens by watching targeted ads anywhere anytime. We are planning to 

move advertising market to the next level and TCHN token will be the 

cornerstone of this revolutionary ecosystem.

Technology The architecture of Tachain project is heavily based on blockchain and smart 

contracts. It allows to ensure transparency of system and strict execution of 

financial obligations and contract terms. Also we are going to build 

comprehensive IT infrastructure around blockchain to provide best possible 

service to our customers. 

 

The key customers for our project are passengers, transportation agents and 

advertisers. Passengers and transportation service providers will work with 

our system by using mobile applications on their smartphones. For example, 

the taxi driver application will be integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android 

Auto technologies, so it will be possible to work with application directly from

car’s built-in display. The advertisers will manage their ads campaigns via 

web site. 

The mobile applications will work simultaneously with public blockchain and 

Application Programming Interface (API) on our servers. Applications will use 

blockchain to interact with smart contracts. API will be used by mobile 

applications to perform more sophisticated operations. For instance, 

passengers will search for available taxis considering their geographical 

location and their preferences about reputation of taxi driver and price of taxi 

service. Real-time geographical location of passenger and taxi driver will be 

automatically detected by mobile application using GPS module located in 

their smartphones. 

The passengers will earn TCHN tokens for their future trips by watching video 

advertisements while they are in the taxi trip. The video advertisements will 

be shown in special advertisement application on the tablet which is installed 

in the taxi car or on users mobile phone. This tablet interacts with blockchain, 

API and Content Delivery Network (CDN). The video content on the tablet is 

updated over internet from CDN and cached on the tablet to minimize the use 

of network traffic. 

Blockchain 

The project will store all information in the public blockchain and we have very 

specific requirements for blockchain which we will use. The blockchain should 

support smart contracts, the transaction execution should be fast enough and 

transaction fee should be low. We consider that EOS blockchain is the best 

choice for our project, but we plan to perform testing of our scenarios with 

other blockchains as well before coming to final decision.

The business logics and rules how our customers will interact with each other 

in Tachain network will be formulated in form of smart contracts. All our 

smart contracts will be carefully developed and tested. The code of all smart 

contracts will be open source and published on GitHub source code 

repository. Any person with required technical skills will be able to discover 

how system works and will be able to suggest new features and fixes. The 

community of Tachain project will decide whether to adopt these suggestions. 

Tachain will be transparent and open system, therefore it will be possible to 

integrate the IT systems of other businesses, such as transportation service 

companies or advertising companies. Our team plans to provide all required 

software applications for our customers to work with Tachain, but 

independent software vendors will be able to develop their own alternative 

and complementary applications that will be able to work with Tachain 

network. 

Our team plans to develop several smart contracts for Tachain network that 

will work together to provide all required contact functionality:

1. TCHN token contract – contains basic rules for TCHN token, it will 

contain current balances for all holders of TCHN token. This contract 

will be fully compliant with ERC-20 standard. 

2. Taxi trip contract – specifies all rules and financial obligations between 

passenger and taxi driver during the trip. The contract will allow taxi 

driver and passenger to start and finish the trip, to track trip progress 

and in the end of the trip the contract will transfer TCHN tokens from 

passenger account to taxi driver account. 

3. Feedback smart contract – allows passenger and taxi drivers to rate 

each other and enter text comment. The contract transactions will 

contain rating history and final rating of each participant. Smart 

contract will ensure that only taxi driver and passenger can leave 

feedback and no third party can change or bias it. Our reputation 

service will periodically retrieve feedback information from blockchain 

and store it in search index, so potential passengers will see actual 

rating of taxi drivers while they search for taxi. 

4. Advertisement smart contract – stores information about budget of 

advertising campaigns that is set by advertiser. It will track and store 

all views of advertisement by passengers and perform transfer of 

TCHN tokens from account of advertiser to passenger and taxi driver 

accounts.

Payments Processing 

Tachain network will perform all financial accounting and funds transfers 

between participants in form of TCHN tokens. Smart contracts will strictly 

define use cases when TCHN tokens are transferred from one account to 

another account. All such transfers are tied to customer operation within 

Tachain network - it could be the completion of a taxi trip or end of 

advertisement view session.  

The customers will be able to convert TCHN tokens to fiat currencies on public 

cryptocurrency exchanges or internally on TMARQ. This is expected scenario 

for advertiser to cash in, and for transportation agent to cash out.  

Passengers can also use cryptocurrency exchanges or TMARQ to put their 

money into the system. But passengers will also have possibility to pay by 

using credit card. Such possibility will lower entry barrier for passengers and 

will accelerate adoption of technology by those people who is not familiar 

with cryptocurrencies. Mobile application also will provide possibility to 

automatically create blockchain wallet for TCHN tokens and will store private 

and public keys for our customers.

Business Model Our business model is based on three important elements. Firstly, we need to 

attract transportation service providers in desired countries. Secondly, we 

have to build loyal users base of our mobile application in those countries. 

Thirdly, we have to attract advertisers to use our advertising platform in order 

to provide targeted ads to the users of our application.  

The first element has been already taken into account in the past and Tachain 

founders have already negotiated and signed several agreements with taxi 

service providers in the Philippines. This is only the beginning of our long 

journey. 

The key factor of success for Tachain Transportal will be the use of rating 

system for users and transportation agents that will be based on blockchain. 

We need to be focussed on creating rides for the operator and training the 

drivers. The following steps need to be made in our strategy: 

1. Signing-up transportation agents in the city we are going to enter; 

2. Meet the requests (in the backend) of the operators; 

3. Setting up the organisation (customer service and data input); 

4. Setting up invoice system/bookkeeping; 

5. Training the operators and drivers (backend and use of driver app); 

6. Install the screens in the cars; 

7. Start the marketing; 

8. Follow up training for the drivers. 

During the introduction period (Q4 2018) we will need to finalize and update 

the application and backend of Tachain following the requests and practical

issues. In this period it would be recommended that we have technical 

support on location. We have to prepare reliable systems in accounting and 

backend and good control from our office.  

Much time and budget will be spent on marketing and communication with 

the users firstly in Manila and then in other cities and countries. They need to 

know Tachain and book their ride with us. We need to built up good user 

experiences for the consumer - the more positive feedback they can share, the 

faster we grow. Word of mouth communication is the best and cheapest 

marketing you can get. That is why user experience needs to be perfect from 

the first day of operations. Training of the operator and driver will be done 

continuously to guarantee this positive experience. 

Regarding AdNet our goal - is to develop a flexible and transparent business 

instrument. A tool that will generate additional value for advertisers and 

publishers.. Ease of use, simplicity and flexibility will be the cornerstone for the 

success of our platform and all its users. By utilizing the power of online 

marketing and advertising, in synergy with offline advertising and marketing 

we plan to attract substantial amount of inhabitants to all elements of our 

ecosystem, making it more sustainable and helping it to grow.

TCHN Token and ICO 

Why ICO? 

In our opinion currently ICO is the best way to attract financing for interesting 

projects, especially for those that are community driven. We believe that 

cryptocurrency crowdfunding procedures can boost innovation, as attracting 

financing via ICO companies do not have to pass traditional bureaucratic 

procedures. Moreover, as ICO is conducted via smart contracts and 

blockchain, everything is transparent and project founders get full 

responsibility for successful realization of the idea. 

ICO also gives possibility for people from all over the world to invest their 

digital assets into projects and teams situated in other countries. In traditional 

economies there are many restrictions and limitations for individuals to 

participate in such activities and there are no possibilities for people to 

contribute relatively low amount of funds into projects with promising 

benefits. 

Tachain founders has already invested substantial resources into 

development of mobile application for taxi services. We are planning to stick 

to our roadmap and develop our concept further in technical terms, as well as 

in geographical terms. Geographical expansion in this case requires funds in 

the early beginning and then will bring significant results in terms of 

profitability and scaling up the number of users, transportation agents and 

advertising partners.

We believe that token design prepared by our team attracts many potential 

players among which TCHN token will circulate. TCHN utility token has high 

potential demand, whereas supply will be limited and determined after the 

end of ICO. This makes TCHN token attractive investment tool at the same 

time giving Tachain an opportunity to realize the idea in the most efficient 

way. 

Taking all this into account, Tachain founders have decided to conduct an 

ICO, create well-circulating utility token along with advertising platform 

where the token will be mainly used.
