Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi is one of the seven emirates that form the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and is the home of the UAE’s government and the country’s capital.

Although the UAE is abundantly blessed with bountiful resources, a growing diversification in the country’s economy has been embarked upon by the country’s leaders under the leadership of H.H. Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi.

Al Falah Mall is situated in a strategic location in the Al Falah’s Emirati community. The Mall will not only serve the residents but wider communities through a carefully scrutinized retail portfolio of shops and boutiques. A heavy significance has been place on optimising the retail mix of grocery stores, fashion and electronics, and a cineplex. Al Falah Mall has been designed as a community mall that is tailored to the Emirati community who enjoy high levels of disposable income.

About AL FALAHMALLWide flowing entrances provide an inviting ‘sense of arrival’ which is at once both convenient and beguiling. The main facade has been oriented to face the Town Centre and community park which further enhances the welcoming character of the mall. This is of important note due the the fact that the mall will become the social hub of those who live within the Al Falah development and the surrounding catchment. The inviting appeal of the front is then complemented by the array of F&B establishments to be found along the leading exterior of the mall.

The façade treatment and interior design of Al Falah Mall is at once modern yet inspired by the traditional Bedouin practice of Al Sadu. A form of weaving performed by the women in the rural Bedouin communities used to embellish furniture as well as decorative accessories for camels and horses.

The mall is laid out in a two story configuration with particular attention paid to achieving optimum levels of light and open space whilst at the same time striking a balance for leasable floor space. The north-east to south-west central spine was designed as a bold defining architectural statement as well as providing much of the natural light. Easily accessible entrance points at either end can divert a sizable portion of the incoming foot traffic from the main entryway and enjoy events areas at point of intersection. This is a core design element, and can be seen throughout the mall, connecting all front of house spaces with this distinctive decorative treatment, thus connecting the overarching identity of the Al Falah community.
