The EEFT in 2017 was a success with the record-breaking visitor number - 10,660 received over the two-day event (Table 1). Apart from the EEFT co-organizers, a couple of official organisations (Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain) joined the fair in celebrating the 16th anniversary of the EEFT. Together the EEFT creates a strong presence in Taiwan and is regarded as an exclusive ocial education fair which is like no others.

Visitors’ Demographic and Feedback

Overall visitors profile are similar to what was seen last year, with a slight increase in the under-18 group.

Following the age group as shown above, it is not surprising that nearly 70% of visitors were interested in postgraduate studies, albeit growing demand in undergraduate degree courses being reported. Interests in courses that are not necessarily leading to a degree or part of a degree accounted for 58 % combined (language course, short-term courses and exchange), which suggest great popularity amongst study options with a shorter time period and less costs.

*This question allowed multiple answers; therefore, the percentage does not add up to 100%.

Top two fields of interest remain unchanged but others shift in order. Institutions with specialties in Engineering based in Germany appear to be the main cause of generating visitors' interests in this field, however it is to note that pre-registered visitor demographic shows dierently- with Media Communication being in the third place.

*This question allowed multiple answers; therefore, the percentage does not add up to 100%.

* The data from P.2-5 is based on visitor questionnaires collected from on-site (total 723) and online (total 7009) both before and during the fair.

Marketing

Most students nowadays search online for information they need and that echoes what was shown in visitors'survey results. The EEFT Facebook fan page ranks among the top sources for all EEFT-related information; 26,000 fans now follow it. The ocial EEFT website ranks second in popularity to the EEFT channel, which is also an important information source. We will keep improving the website to better accommodate both our exhibitors and visitors with a pleasant and informative digital environment. To increase publicity and interactions with the public, we held the EEFT Key Visual Design competition, and the rst place winner's design has been used on all promotional materials.

The following examples show some of the media used to promote the 2017 EEFT:
