occasion to meet and congratulate our youngsters who will be receiving the Eucharist for the first time. The detailed schedule is in this bulletin for your information.
Liturgical Music:As you might have noticed, all the hymn books have been removed from the pews. It is part of the protocols of these covid-19 times that the assembly is not encouraged to sing during Mass, although we cannot prevent anyone from do-ing so. In view of that protocol, it is our desire to augment the music during the Liturgy with more instrumental ac-companiments. We, therefore, appeal to parishioners who know how to play the piano, organ, violin, trumpet and other musical instruments, to come forward and lend sup-port to our liturgical music. Please, call me and speak with me, or leave me a message on: 516-785-2333 x 201.
From the Diocese (by Sean Dolan):(1) The Office of Communications is happy to announce the launch of a new microsite it developed for the Office of Human Life, Family and Bioethics that addresses the moral and ethical issues of vaccines: www.vaccinebioethics.com. The content for this site comes from a white paper entitled: “Vaccines: What You Need to Know” written by Lisa A. Honkanen, M.D., Director of the Office of Human Life, Fam-ily and Bioethics. Please, visit the website and learn more.
(2) It appears that someone created the following GMAIL account:[email protected] and they are sending emails from this account to publicly available email addresses as if they were from Bishop Barres. THEY ARE NOT FROM BISHOP BARRES. IT is trying to contact Google to report it as a bogus account and have flagged it in our filters. IT asks that anyone who receives emails from that address blocks and/or adds it to their junk senders list. Let’s continue to pray for one another.
God bless you all.Fr. Seth.
Dear Parishioners,This weekend, I have a few announcements to make:
The 5:30 P.M. Mass on Saturdays:We announce with pleasure that the celebration of the 5:30 P.M Mass on Saturdays will resume on August 1st, 2020. Parishioners are warmly welcomed back to full participa-tion in that Mass. All the protocols of social distancing and the wearing of face coverings, that we announced a few weeks ago, are still in effect and binding on all who come to the Church, either for private prayer or for public worship in the celebration of the Eucharist.
First Communion Masses:The celebration of First Eucharist for our 2nd Graders will begin on August 15, 2020. As part of our full resumption of Weekend Masses. We invite parishioners to attend these 1st Communion Masses, as much as possible, and use the

300 Club Update – 17th Round – Report No. 1
Dear 300 Club Members,
I trust that all of you are well and staying safe. I first want to thank our returning and new members for their continued support of the 300 Club, we cannot do this without you. Below is an update on our guiding principles as we begin the 17the Round:
Charity-We donated another $500 in gift cards to the Parish Outreach for those in need within the St. Frances community. We also partnered with the Knights of Columbus 6526 Council by providing lunch to the NCPD 7th Precinct to show our support during this challenging time.
We will be donating $1,500 this week equally split amongst St. Francis de Chantal Summer Appeal, The INN, and John Thiessen Children’s Foundation.
Community-We continue to have faith that we will be able to have our Thank You Dinner in mid-November or early December at the latest. We will keep you posted.
Chance-June drawing winners are listed below. We also have 10 numbers that have become available and would appreciate you spreading the word so we can get back to 300 active members.
Thank you for your continued support and God Bless.
Sincerely, John Tomeo ______________________________________________________________________________
