Synectics helps general contractor to reduce cost and schedule during construction through an efficient implementation of BIM. Synectics will set up involvement during Pre-construction by assisting GCs in delivering BIM-based Model-based Estimating process to better manage project budget. These innovative processes will ensure that cost and quantities generated from BIM models are well managed. In addition, Synectics’ expertise in constructabilities review and clash detection helps GCs to resolve design issues and to complete project on time and within budget. Synectics also has the ability to set up shop drawings teams, using latest BIM technology during construction. GC will see the value of early adoption of BIM by saving on cost from mitigation of constructabilities issues in the projects. Services we provide to GCs include:

Synectics assists MEP contractors in generating 3D BIM models for coordination among the trades. Our staff are familiar with different codes used by different trades. We normally keep the clients informed of the progress and of any issue that might arise, but we only involve them when absolutely necessary. After the systems are fully coordinated, we proceed to produce trimble data files, and various types of shop drawings, such as bills of materials, 2D annotated drawings for engineer’s review, 2D dimensioned drawings for field use, and spools for fabrication. CONCRETE/REBAR SHOP DRAWINGSAssisting in Rebar and Concrete shop drawings using latest 3D technology. We understand shop drawings as they are: a useful tool to explain the fabrication and/or installation of the items to the manufacturer’s production crew or contractor's installation crews.

MODEL-BASED QUANTITY TAKE-OFFSDelivering model-based quantity take-offs from 3D BIM models. Synectics will set up a process to view the take-offs items in the context of the 3D model, and gives client clear feedback to improve team communication, and gives client the confidence that no quantities are missed.

MEP DETAILINGDelivering MEP detailing service for all kind of projects. We coordinate designs from different subcontractors with strong emphasis on delivering, solving clashes and producing highly detailed mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements that could be used for fabrication. We provide advanced coordinated “functional” shop drawings and coordination services for MEP design. We can run latest technology on Mechanical, Electrical models to ensure the accuracy of models and drawings.

POINT CLOUD DATA CONVERSIONConverting any kind of 3D point cloud to a working Revit file. Our team is fully proficient in processing highly complexed point cloud data to 3Ds Max model or Revit model based on client’s requirements. We have worked directly with MEP contractors to convert point cloud data surveyed on site into working models, which then could be used to improve MEP designs. We are also experienced in converting laser scanned point clouds of roadway and civil design to assist clients in infrastructure planning. Once the design is finished, we will send the scan solids and new MEP systems addition to make sure that there are no conflicts prior to prefabrication.
