Page 2: Swiss Cytometry Society and Travel information EuroFlow ... · President of the Swiss Cytometry Society Dear SCS members and colleagues Program: Thursday, 28 November 2013 Program:

This year’s Autumn Meeting has such an extraordinary agenda, that the

meeting has been extended to two days in order to schedule this full and

exciting program.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of important aspects

of a standardized approach in flow cytometry – presented are the ratio-

nale, relevant aspects and results of the comprehensive standardization

and innovation effort of the EuroFlow consortium, a scientific working

group of the European Hematology Association.

Lectures and practical workshops of this meeting complement each

other, spanning the immunophenotyping process from instrument set-up

through data-analysis to future strategies and their implementation in

patient care.

Exciting progress has been made in the field – and in keeping abreast with

progress we all are confronted with the same challenges:

New equipment, new colors and new panels – all need to be evaluated

and implemented into routine diagnostics.

The lessons learned – and presented at this meeting - from tackling

exactly these issues will be of value to all of us - as they are independent of

platform, equipment and reagents used. We hope you will find helpful

suggestions, exchange experiences and get involved in discussions with

colleagues and experts.

The program is aimed to be of interest to all different professional groups

working in this field – and we hope you will find within this program a topic

of interest to you.

We look forward to meeting you at this exciting meeting!
