• INSTALLING MOUNTING BRACKETRemove the brackets from inside the box, unwrap and position the bracket to the light well/wheel well area. On some trucks it may be necessary to remove the tie down. Make sure the bracket is tight up against the sheet metal of the truck bed – Picture 1. The bottom of the bracket should be fl ush to the bottom of the truck bed on all trucks except for the 2007-C Chevy/GMC. For the 2007-C Chevy/GMC trucks you will need to rest the horizontal part of the bracket directly on top of the tie down, level with the bed fl oor. The vertical part of the bracket should be tight against the vertical rib on the truck – Picture 2.

• INSTALLING MOUNTING BRACKET (continued)Using the self drilling screws provided. Attach the bracket to the truck – Picture 3 and 4. Be careful not to over-tighten and strip out the holes.

• INSTALLING SWING CASELower the box onto the hinge pins. The latch is currently in the closed position for shipping. Before swinging the box to the stowed position for the fi rst time, pull the rod to release the latch. Gently push the box to the stowed position. Pull the latch rod and swing through the full motion making sure it operates freely and latches easily – Picture 5 and 6. Do not slam the box to stow it, if it will not latch easily it may be necessary to make some minor adjustments. The rotary latch has slotted holes, just loosen the two bolts and adjust as needed. Be sure to blow or sweep the metalshavings out of the truck bed.

• FOR TRUCKS WITH PLASTIC BED LINERSFor trucks with plastic bed liners it will be necessary to trim the liner. DO NOT INSTALL THE BRACKETS ON TOP OF THE BEDLINER. The brackets will not fi t over the plastic bedliner, the brackets must be attached directly to the sheet metal.

Hold the brackets up against the bedliner in their approximate location. Using a grease pencil, mark lines to indicate where to cut the bedliner Picture 7. Once you have fi nished trimming your bedliner, install the brackets (Picture 8) per the instructions in Steps 1 through 3 (previous page). Due to the fact that all the brands of bed liners fi t differently we can not provide exact instructions as how much of your liner to trim. These pictures are only an example and may not accurately depict your specifi c situation.

• FOR TRUCKS WITH BED RUGSFor trucks with Bed Rugs it will be necessary to cut slots in the material. DO NOT INSTALL THE BRACKETS ON TOP OF THE BED RUG. Most of the brackets will fi t under the bed rug, pull the Bed Rug loose from the corner, remove any hook and loop strips that may be in the way of the brackets, and install the brackets per instructions in Steps 1 through 3 (previous page).

Remove the rubber bumper from the horizontal part of the bracket and put the Bed Rug back into place. Push the rug around the latch bracket and cut a slot to allow it to stick through. Push the rug around the pad lock piece and cut a slot to allow it to stick through – Picture 9 and 10. You will need to re-attach the Bed Rug to the truck bracket at the light well using the existing hook and loop strips. On 2007-C Chevy trucks the horizontal part of the bracket at the light well is spaced away. On this application you may cut a slice along the edge of the light well and slide the latch bracket behind the rug.

• CONGRATULATIONS!You have just installed the most versatile tool box on the market.

Owner Responsibilities. Incidental or consequential damage or loss of contents due to use, neglect, lack of maintenance, misuse, or abuse of the Swing Case is the sole responsibility of the truck owner and operator. Paint damage to your truck is not covered under this warranty. When operating your truck always keep the Swing Case in the stowed position with the lid closed and latched. Repair and Replacement.
