eenyB Bikini Couture is a local company to Florida, designing and manufacturing all of their swimwear in-state. They pride themsel-ves on quality and luxury, as well as impeccable customer service. Creating their bikinis with

fit, comfort and luxury in mind, each piece is designed to have the perfect amount of coverage without any ex-tra fabric to bunch up and detract from the style. Their growing presence in the Bikini Fitness World is a testa-ment to the idea that the perfect fitting bikini can show-case a woman’s natural curves and beauty. TeenyB is still a relatively new company, selling for only a short 4 years. For the past 3 years they have been working with photographer Robert Turi, and they have been growing together ever since. Their photogra-phy style continues to evolve each year as their tastes and the bikini lines change. Colors can really evoke feelings in a photographer’s work, so choosing backgrounds that make a statement has always intrigued Bobby. Their ca-talog shoots bring them to new and exciting locations, and

with each shoot they grow as a team because of it. This year’s shoot in the Bahamas led them in a very different direction from previous years. Before, they were always at the beach or in the water. This year, they changed it up and did photo shoots on rocks, in diving camps, and even at an incredible private estate complete with Mayan ruins. Of course they had to throw in a few beach shots, too – it truly is Bobby’s “bread and butter.” TeenyB recognizes that it is a bikini company perhaps a little ahead of its time by specializing in luxury Brazilian style swimwear that some are too afraid to wear. However, the market is trending this way which is more and more evident in their ever-in-creasing sales. They have no problem leading the way and paving their own path to success. In fact, they prefer it! Each year they hope their catalog shoots get bigger and more elaborate, attracting not only more models but customers and fans alike. Teeny B’s mission is simple: to offer the best in Bra-zilian cut bikinis through a commitment to design, quality, and superior customer service.

FASHIONING COmICS IN THE mODERN AGEScott Elvis Caron:

lending his hand to artists, and persis-tent to launch his own comic series, Scott Elvis Ca-

ron brings a new sharp image to comic art. Known for infusing real images with his digital perspective, Scott is

on the cutting-edge of fashioning comic styled graphics onto a 22” touchscreen interface. “It’s like a big glossy canvas, and allows me to work quick while keeping to my original style,” said Scott.

SCOTT’S FIRST DEVOTION TO CREATIVITY BEGAN AS A GRAFFITI ARTIST, AND NOW HE OFFERS HIS TAlENTS AND WORKS BETWEEN MANY ART MEDIAS. AT lUCKY AGENT STUDIOS HE PROVIDES DIGITAl IllUSTRATION, GRAPHIC DESIGN, WEARABlE GRA-FFITI ART, AND EVEN PROPOSES MARKETING SOlUTIONS TO START UP BUSINESSES. IF EVER THERE WAS A RENAISSAN-CE MAN OF THE DIGITAl MODERN AGE, SCOTT DRIVES

TO ACCOMPlISH AND EXPRESS HIMSElF TO THE FUllEST.

His greatest passion is still focused on comic art, and most recently is working on Super Sidekick Records rockstar-hero tale “The Adventures of Super Russ”, an independent comic series

illustrated by Dustin Doud. Co-writer of the series Russell Fama said, “I love how Scott injects real pers-pectives while coloring. He definitely adds the gritty everyday life aspect to our hero’s world.”

With devotees awaiting his own project, Scott is in the midst of releasing his first original graphic novel Mad Yat. An insane journey into deeply disturbed space, the comic introduces an interstellar traveling Yat who gets away with mischief only through sheer luck. The book is not recommended for the faint of heart, and will

be sure to please non-comic readers and the disturbed alike.

For those interested in commissioning art projects Scott can be contacted at www.LuckyAgentStudios.com, and comic enthusiasts can order issues online at www.SuperSidekickRecords.com as well as: www.MadYat.com

VM HOW TO . .

Summer is just around the corner and along with it, bikini time. Now, if you find yourself like most people with a few extra pounds that could spoil your new bikini look, you are in luck because here we have the perfect bikini body workout. Ideally you want to exercise the biggest muscles of the body (buttocks, thighs, chest and back) because they burn the most calories in the least amount of time. They also happen to be the ones we want to show, right?

Intensity is going to be your best friend, not only because it will burn the most calories, but it will save you time. To create a high calorie burning routine, you must perform the most amounts of movements in the least amount of time. Hence, keep breaks to the minimum and move fast. You will have time to rest when you get to the beach with your awesome looking new bikini body.

Alternate these exercises. Do as many repe-titions of one and then move on to the next one. Keep rotating until you finish the amount of re-petitions prescribed per each exercise.

SqUATS are the king of exercises. No other mo-vement involves as many muscles. To perform squats correctly find a chair/stool that is a little lower than normal (the lower the better). Try to sit down while keeping your heels on the ground with your feet pointed straight just a little wi-der than your hips. Go down as slow as possible keeping your back as straight as possible. Gently touch the chair/stool with your buttocks (do not seat) and immediately get up slowly with the minimum amount of forward rocking possible. Stand all the way up, squeeze your buttocks, suck your stomach in and repeat. You can hold your hands in front of you for counter balance, or even hold a small dumbbell. Work your way to 100 repetitions either all at once, or in groups

of 20 or 30.

PUSHUPS. Real pushups are done on your feet, not on your knees. You must exert yourself beyond your normal capacity to obtain your goals. You want nice arms and shoulders? Then, do pushups right, with your feet and hands on the ground! If anything, you could raise your hands off the ground by utilizing a step, a couple of stools or anything stable that will bring your hands no higher than 10 inches off the ground. That will make them just a little easier. Open your arms and place your hands directly under your elbows. Suck your stomach in, tighten your thighs and buttocks and bring down your chest (not your hips) keeping your neck and back straight. Do 50 repetitions in any combination you can. Eliminate the elevation of the ground as soon as you can so you get the full benefits. When they become too easy, elevate your feet and you’ll have a complete new experience.

DO yOU WANT NICE, HARD SHAPELy THIGHS AND BUTTOCkS?

lUNGES are the answer. When doing lunges the main focus should be placed on the forward leg. You should feel it mainly in the back of the thigh and buttocks. Standing straight, take a wider than normal step forward. Put most of your weight on the forward heel. Bend the rear knee down until it is about an inch off the ground (do not touch the ground). Maintain your tor-so straight and your stomach in tight. Push off the ground with the forward leg using mainly your heel bringing yourself back to standing straight. Repeat 20 times with the same leg, then 20 with the other leg until you do 100 per leg.

ABDOMINAlS. The mid-section or core is probably one of the most sought after parts of the body. Unfortunately it’s also one of the most difficult to keep lean and tone. Abdominals exercises are very beneficial and do help in shaping your mid-section, but un-less you apply good sound nutrition principals along with it, you will never have that “washboard” mid-section, nor a bikini body. Talking about nutrition will take another whole article, so all I am going to tell you is eat clean, natural and try to cook for yourself as much as possible. Watch your portions. Now, let us go back to abdominal exercises. Lay down facing up. Extend your arms up and put your hands together. By lifting your shoulders up off the ground, reach as high straight up towards the ceiling as you can. Hold for two seconds as you exhale, and slowly go down. Repeat as many repetitions until you cannot do any more. Get 100 in any combination possible. You will mainly feel those in the upper region of your mid-section. For the bottom part, still lying down, put your arms on the floor along your body. Lift your feet up off the ground with your knees bent. Using a little rocking motion bring your knees toward your chest lifting your buttocks off the ground trying to hold it up as much as you can on the way down. Repeat 100 times in any group possible.

CARDIO. All cardio is good as long as you enjoy it and you are committed to it. Make sure you always vary any of the elements involved (speed, time, inclination), hence avoiding your body to get use to it. The idea is to make sure every time you do cardio it’s difficult so you burn the most calories. Oh and please, if you are using the treadmill in a high inclination LET GO OFF THE HAND-LES (you know who you are). You completely defeat the purpose of inclining by holding on.

Always workout at least 4 times a week and pay attention to your body and make sure if something doesn’t feel right, stop and seek expert help.

Here in Florida, it’s so easy to take our backyard for granted. Imagine, however, a slightly new backyard view: Clearwater Beach’s breathtaking Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa. The newest beachfront resort on Florida’s west coast is close to home for a quick getaway, yet it delivers a whole new tropical island experience that includes West Indies décor, spacious balconies and views of pure white sands and spectacular azure waters. Having just opened its doors last year, the AAA Four Diamond Hyatt Regency. Clearwater Beach

has raised the bar for dining, service and amenities in the Tampa Bay area. Already the resort has become notable for its award-winning cuisine. You need relaxation? The eco-coastal Sandava Spa features unique Floridian spa treatments such as the Key Lime Mineral Wrap, the Sun-warmed Shell Massage and more. To raise the bar further, Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach has introduced never-before-seen services and amenities.

Twenty air-conditioned cabanas alongside the eighth-floor infinity pool are available for full-day rental to non-resort guests. Each private cabana provides the luxuries of a high definition flat screen TV, wet bar and private bath, plus the ease and convenience of a room-service call button. Best of all, the resort is located on Clearwater Beach’s new multi-million-dollar Beach Walk, providing guests with easy access to the destination’s wealth of events and activities. Summertime favorites include Pier 60’s nightly sunset par-ties and the annual Clearwater Beach Restaurant Week, taking place May 8 – 14 of this year. The resort’s SHOR American Seafood Grill, featured at this year’s Restaurant Week, received the 2010 People’s Choice Best Taste Award from Taste of Clearwater.

The regionally inspired, fresh seafood and American

cuisine are only rivaled by the restaurant’s impressive show kitchen,

optional outdoor dining and spectacular Gulf views from expansive, floor-to-ceiling

windows. Menu highlights include pan-seared black grouper and house-made lobster

ravioli with side dishes such as roasted chorizo potatoes and mint-basil asparagus. Rounding out the

menu, the decadent dessert list comforts diners with old fashioned favorites such as an oversized root beer

float, crème brulee, flourless chocolate cake and warm bread pudding. SWIM, another local favorite for Gulf-front

dining, is Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach’s casual poolside bar and grill. Located on the eighth-floor, open-air pool deck, SWIM

draws a regular crowd with a Pan-Latino menu of small plates and resort-style appetizers, sandwiches and burgers. These poolside cravings are served alongside a spectacular, panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico and are the perfect complement to Clearwater’s fa-mous sunsets.

Perfect for either a pre- or post-dinner treat, the resort’s new Beach Club Wine Bar offers a wide selection of wines and cheeses in the comfort and style of an elegantly-appointed beach club. Open Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., the Beach Club Wine Bar features an outdoor patio, three flat screen televisions, sophisticated bar

Rounding out the

menu, the decadent dessert list comforts diners with old fashioned favorites such as an oversized root beer

dining, is Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach’s casual poolside bar and grill. Located on the eighth-floor, open-air pool deck, SWIM

draws a regular crowd with a Pan-Latino menu of small plates and resort-style appetizers, sandwiches and burgers. These poolside cravings are served alongside a spectacular, panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico and are the perfect complement to Clearwater’s fa-mous sunsets.

elf esteem is not something you automatically feel. It is a pro-cess, a lifestyle, a habit that is learned as any other, it is an attitude towards life. Self es-

teem and happiness must come from yourself, not from those around you. Here are some simple steps to boost your self esteem in no time.

GET SOmE mE TImE Do something you love; whether its laying on beach, fishing, or painting, spending a whole day doing something you love will su-rely leave you feeling happy and self satisfied.

LEARN SOmETHING NEW Take a class or read a book; learning so-mething new can help boost your self esteem and give you a feeling of ac-complishment.

PAmPER yOURSELF Spend a day at a spa or give yourself a spa treatment at home. There are several sites onli-ne where you can learn how to create your own products for facials, pedicu-res and more. Get a new look, chan-ge your hair style or buy a new outfit. Treating yourself to a new look can

LEARN TO

leave you feeling rejuvenated and confident, in turn boosting your self-esteem.

DONATE OR VOLUNTEER Giving back to your community by donating some old cloths or household items to your local salvation army is a great way to boost your mood. Don’t have anything to give? Ask a local nonprofit organi-zation if they need volunteers. Spending a day helping others will surely leave a smile on your face.

LAUGH Find something that makes you smile; laughing is like medicine for the blues. Studies have shown that the simple act of smiling or laughing can boost your mood immediately. So if you are feeling a little sad or discouraged, call an old friend, watch a funny movie, or find so-mething else that puts a smile on your face.

Being happy is based on feelings of internal peace and harmony, self-esteem and personal satisfaction, in which the positive moments outweigh the negative.

By changing your self-image, you can give yourself a new outlook on life and learn the ha-bit of being happy. Consider making these steps a permanent part of your life. Good self esteem is not just an accident, it’s a result of the way we think and the things we do.

Lolly’s Wigs9198 SeminoLe BLvd SeminoLe FL, 33772

When you walk through the door of Lolly’s Wigs you feel right at home. The lovely Lolly Bates is the owner and operator. A retired beautician, the opening of her boutique came from a combination of monotony and compassion. The shop is not very large and the décor simple and without the frills you would expect in a shop dedicated to make women feel and look beautiful. Lolly in-vited me to sit with her while she explained to me the purpose of her shop.

So many women face the loss of their hair due to the effects of chemothera-py, alopecia and other diseases. Lolly has made it her mission to make sure that these women can again feel beautiful while they face the fight for their lives. Oncologists regularly refer their patients to Lolly’s to purchase their wigs. While some shops charge for fittings, special cuts and other extras this one does not. Lolly even shaves the client head as part of her special service. Whether it’s an Alan Easton Paige Boy cut or any one of the AE styles and colors you can choose from, Lolly guarantees you can dance, exercise and ge-nerally live life without worrying about your wig slipping and sliding. I asked Lolly why she does it. Her answer, “It makes my heart sing.”

Micha, owner of Famous Names Consignment is as knowledgeable a shop owner as I have found. From the gently used Coach and Channel han-dbags that start at $38.99 to the Royal Douton china Micha is there with the history, the name of the designer and the price. Among the treasu-res, a beautiful Homer Laughlin (of Fiesta ware fame) Virginia Rose Bathroom set from the late 1800’s and a Seth Thomas Clock manufactured in the 1800’s. For the fashionista the shop offers vintage jewelry and for the true connoisseur a jeweled Whiting & Davis evening bag circa 1800’s. Rounding out the treasures tucked into a shop I thought housed only rows of used, al-beight “gently” used clothing is just that. Famous name is stocked with sizes and styles for ever-yone. While Micha schooled me in everything from Snoopy memorabilia to Wedgewood china a regular customer walked in. Micha excused herself, greeted her like an old friend and led her directly to a rack of dresses. She then pro-ceeded to show her a selection for her to view. By the smile on her face Micha’s customer had got-ten what she came for. Service usually reserved for Designer Boutiques in a Consignment Shop. Who knew?

Next stop, a fairly new enterprise. Purse Bling claims to offer FUNtional ways to add charm to your purse. On my first trip this little shop offered more than just ways to decorate your handbag. Jerilyn the owner keeps busy with her shop and on-line sales. This store carries Clipa Purse Hooks, used by Kim Kardashian along with the Joey Jr. original fabric organizers. For those not familiar with these, they are a must have for those who change their handbag frequently. To switch bags just re-move the canvas organizer from one purse to the other. Jerilyn even provides a table for those who want to try one out for the first time. Dump out your purse and get organized. If you’re looking for a gift that’s just a little different you have come to the right place. Twist and Pout Lip Gloss at an attractive price of $9.95. The gloss housed in small hatboxes is the perfect gift for any woman. Purse Bling also carries other unusual items, such as high heel shoe paper clips, wine corks decorated with hot heels, car charms and fumi bangles representing most any sport you can imagine. Friendly and eager to help, Jerilyn led me to a collection of purses by “Mod by Design.” From holiday taffeta to the reed bags new to the collection this spring these are a must have. Visit Jerilyns’ store or browse online at www.pursebling.com.

Between the designer shoes and perfectly organized handbags is a brand new store called Scraps of Art. The first customer I spoke with had travelled thirty minutes to visit what she insists is “the best scrapboo-king place in the county.” From what I ob-served she might be right. The store is well stocked with unique items to please even the most avid scrapper. Scraps of art is the first store in the country to carry “Little Ye-llow Bicycle”, and also the UK based popu-lar brand Can. Amongst the patriotic stic-kers, stamps representing everything from Christmas tree to the Easter Bunny. www.scrapsofart.com
