Swans100

Swans100 is a joint project between Swansea University and the Swansea City Supporters Trust. It is recording the fans’ experience of supporting the

Swansea City Football Club, 'the Swans', over the last one hundred years.

Swansea Town played their �rst professional football game in 1912 and is still going strong in 2012 as Swansea City, the �rst Welsh club to play in the

FA Premier League.

The loyalty of the fans kept the club going through di�cult times. Swans100 has scanned and photographed masses of their memorabilia.

It carried out an on-line survey, collected written experiences and recorded interviews. The results, online at www.swans100.org.uk, show how ordinary fans have

been a part of the club for a century.

This exhibition, showing some of the material collected, is played over two halves, here and at Swansea Museum. Please ask sta� for more details of the opening

The project has only been made possible through funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, who gave a grant to employ a Project O�cer and compile the archive.

Other contributors have been Swansea City FC, the Swansea Central Library, West Glamorgan Archive Service, The South Wales Evening Post (Northcli�e Media),

and of course all of the individual Swansea fans who have been a part of the project.

o gefnogi Clwb Pêl-droed Dinas Abertawe, 'y Swans', dros y can mlynedd diwethaf.

Chwaraeodd clwb Tref Abertawe ei gêm bêl-droed bro�esiynol gyntaf ym 1912 ac mae'n dal i fynd yn 2012 fel Dinas Abertawe, y clwb Cymreig cyntaf i chwarae

yn Uwch-gynghrair yr FA.

Roedd teyrngarwch y cefnogwyr wedi cadw'r clwb i fynd drwy gyfnodau anodd. Mae Swans100 wedi sganio a thynnu �otogra�au o lwyth o'u pethau co�adwy.
