General Guidelines

Design choices: During the design process, select fabrics and linings wisely. Sun is destructive to fabrics. Choose lined products to protect against sun damage.

Daily care: A gentle shaking as the draperies are drawn closed prevents dust and dirt from collecting in the fabric. Vacuum draperies and decorative treatments with a soft brush attachment, using a low suction setting.

We recommend professional cleaning only due to the delicate nature of certain fabrics and the handcrafted nature of custom soft goods.

There are also some steps you can take to protect and care for our products once they have been installed in your client’s home.

Adjusting Your Order: We will do our best to accommodate any changes requested to your order in progress. Changes made after an order has been placed will incur a processing charge.Rush Orders: Consult your Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the availability and price of rushing your order as capacity permits. Rush fees will depend on requested dates and capabilities of our workroom. We are unable to rush or release orders to our workroom until all materials for the order have been received, inspected, and matched with the information in our system.

Alterations to Bedding Products: NC state law prohibits the workroom from handling bedding, pillows, or cushions once they have been used by a customer. Alterations for these products after installation will be declined for legal reasons, or ask your CSR for further guidance.Existing Treatments: We cannot accept responsibility for products that have been in the home for more than 6 months. The environmental conditions upon installation can effect our original fabrication of each product and are beyond our control and liability of the workroom. Depending on the situation, we may be able to make an exception. Contact your CSR for more information.

Other Alterations: If your client would like alterations on an existing product that has not been mistreated, we request that you dry-clean the product before sending. Please consult your CSR.

Fabric Inspection Process: We perform a thorough inspection of all materials upon receiving them and will promptly notify you if there are any problems before we proceed.

Scrap Fabric: We expect to receive the amount of fabric yardage that was quoted for your order. Customers with specifications to return fabric scraps will be charged per package or piece to cover the incurred shipping charges. Otherwise, this will be donated to benefit selected local charities.

Reworks: Regardless of fault, we will fast-track reworks for problematic products to resolve and return in one week from receiving it back. Notify your CSR promptly for a Return Authorization number to ID your return. Please visit our Rework Policy at stevensonvestal.com/price-catalog to understand expected payments from responsible parties. We will make every effort to satisfy you and your client.
