LET ThE REvOLUTION BEgIN!

WELCOME!

It seems as if we have been on the brink of a world revolution in the nature of business and the role brands will play in shaping the world of tomorrow for a very long time. For many of us at Sustainable Brands, it has been a calling for over a decade to help bring about a world in which more brands prosper by leading the way to a flourishing future.

What about for you? By virtue of the fact that you’re here at the first Sustainable Brands Rio, it’s safe to say you sense, as we do, that we are in fact in the midst of a revolution in the way we think about the appropriate relationship between business and society, brands and consumption. It doesn’t matter what brought you here today -- whether personal concern for our future -- or the desire to capitalize on the revolution that truly is underway. For most of us it’s some combination of both. And that’s just great!

SB Rio is about enveloping Brazil. We are the change agents with the ideas, influence and resource to drive the sustainability revolution forward. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to partner with our Brazilian friends to serve as instigators, facilitators and holders of this space for learning and collaboration.  But we recognize that without you stepping into the role of change maker, our efforts would be in vain.

So here’s to taking the next step together toward. We know that this path will be at the same time chaotic and challenging, but it will also be gratifying to enjoy the outcomes we create together.

Here’s to the beginning of a great conversation, and welcome to the world of Sustainable Brands!

— KoAnn ViKoren SKrzyniArz FOuNDER OF SuStAINABlE BRANDS®

OUR BUSINESS IS TRANSFORmINg BUSINESS

Sustainable Brands Rio 2013 is a milestone in our journey of ten years supporting Brazilian companies interested in incorporating sustainability in their management

Report Sustentabilidade is a company dedicated to integrate sustainability into the world of business. through its ten years of existence, we have built a relationship network with clients from various sectors and sizes. this knowledge allows us to identify emerging demands of new developments or even connect with international experiences that make sense for Brazilian companies.

Born as a communication agency, we offer consulting services and, more recently, we found ourselves as an organization of knowledge, able to systematize and disseminate the lessons that circulate in our area of influence.

this inclination approached us to the Sustainable Brands, undoubtedly the most important international network of sustainability leaders commited to achieve a model of sustainable development. In this learning environment, companies, civil society organizations and entrepreneurs share practices that will be the basis of the brands of the future.

SB strongly matches with Brazil, due to our creative and entrepreneurial ability, added to our sensitivity to environmental and social issues, that creates a fertile ground for business transformation. — ÁLVAro ALMeiDA cO-FOuNDER OF REPORt SuStENtABIlIDADE
