_____________________________________________________________________________________ Confidential and Proprietary 1 Sustainability & Environmental Plan Purpose: This policy provides guidance regarding Reliant Capital Solution’s sustainability and environmental plan. Reliant supports sustainability and believes following environmentally sound procedures is better for the environment, benefits employees by providing safer and healthier working conditions, improves our bottom line and offers Reliant a competitive advantage. This policy is applicable to all Reliant operational business centers and support management unless otherwise specified in client contracts, regulatory or state specific guidelines, or in another Reliant policy. Reliant adheres to contractual requirements pertaining to initiatives detailed in this plan. Definitions: Sustainability: 1) the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level; 2) avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance. Policy: To meet its duty to protect our environment, Reliant, when operationally possible, utilizes environmentally preferable products (EPP) from established lists published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as various state-specific lists. Reliant utilizes recycled products including, but not limited to recycled paper products. Reliant also has implemented internal environmentally-friendly procedures which include, but are not limited to recycling empty toner cartridges, recycling cardboard and paper waste, as well as cans, glass and plastic containers. Reliant utilizes automatic motion sensitive lighting, including in our office space as well as timer-controlled parking lot lighting. This in addition to window tinting helps regulate office space temperature, maximizing energy efficiency. In order to conserve water, Reliant uses low flow toilets and timer-controlled sprinkler systems coupled with runoff reuse to enhance efficiency and reduce loss to evaporation. Reliant encourages employee recommendations towards additional sustainable initiatives.
