A private, non-profit school foundation established solely for the benefit of Gull Lake Community

Schools, the GLCS Foundation provides opportunities through four focus areas: GRANTS,

SCHOLARSHIPS, DISTINGUISHED ACADEMIC SCHOLARS, and SPARK SERIES.

Since its inception in 1983, the GLCS Foundation has awarded nearly 700 grants, 400 scholarships

and several special community events totaling more than $2 million to Gull Lake Community Schools.

These funds have benefitted every building in the district, including the Gull Lake Virtual School,

Gull Lake Partnership and Gateway Academy.

For more than 34 years, the GLCS Foundation has diligently worked to fulfill its mission: to expand and enhance education at Gull Lake Community Schools. Why is this important?

It’s important because the Foundation provides opportunities—opportunities for both students and staff to develop by gaining knowledge and experience beyond the normal curriculum—opportunities that are crucial to a quality education and a successful future and would not otherwise be available if not for the GLCS Foundation.

As state funding continues to decrease and student enrollment grows, it has become increasingly difficult to provide extra opportunities for students and staff.
