A cheery little “I like you”Can help them when they’re down.I love to sprinkle little dropsOf sunshine all around!Oh, just a little happy word,I didn’t have to say,But someone was discouraged,So I said it anyway.

Have you been so sad and hurtYou felt like you could cry,Then someone said a kindly wordAs they were walking by?It melted all your frosty gloomThat had you feeling sad.A little cheery, sunshine wordCan make you feel so glad!

So please do to othersAs they’ve done to you.If you’ve been cheered by others,Try cheering someone too.Give some loving compliments,Say something true and kind,Try cheering up unhappy friendsWith helpful words you find.
