Order of WorshipThe Lord’s Day October 13, 2013 11:00 a.m.
Rev. James R. Carter, Senior Pastor
Scripture for Silent Meditation and prayer (10:55 a.m.) Psalm 32:1-2, 8-11 (ESV) Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit....I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Lamb of God Twila Paris; arr. Craig CourtneySarah Weinstein, Flute; Guy Whatley, Piano; Sanctuary Choir; Dr. John L. Wilson, Director
Your only Son, no sin to hide, but You have sent Him from Your side to walk upon this guilty sod, and to become the Lamb of God. Your Gift of Love they crucified, they laughed and scorned Him as He died. The humble King they named a fraud, and sacrificed the Lamb of God. O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God, I love the holy Lamb of God. O wash me in Your precious blood, my Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. I was so lost, I should have died, but You have brought me to Your side to be led by Your staff and rod and to be called a lamb of God. O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God, I love the holy Lamb of God, O wash me in Your precious blood ‘till I am just a lamb of God. O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God, I love the holy Lamb of God. O wash me in Your precious blood ‘till I am just a lamb of God! – John 1:29-34
