As wonderful as the miracles that were performed
by the Holy Spirit through the apostles were, the
lives of these men and the disciples was also im-
pressive. The boldness of Peter and John was so
evident that the Jewish leaders “took knowledge”
that they had been with Jesus. Their boldness is a
repeated theme in Acts chapter four. The disciples
were also united, they were one, and Jesus had
promised that all men would know that they were
his disciples if they had love one for another (John
13:35). Also notice that these men rejoiced that
they were counted worthy to suffer shame for Christ.
What Do They See? (Acts 3-5) b y Ti m D oo le y
What is it that those who live within our circle of in-
fluence see when they take notice of our lives? Do
they see disciples of Jesus? Do they see boldness,
love, unity, and rejoicing, even in trials and persecu-
tions? This doesn’t mean that we should go out and
invite trouble in an attempt to show ourselves. But as
Paul would write, “all that will live godly in Christ
Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12).
What do they see when they take notice of our lives?
They are watching, and so is He! Be faithful my
friends. [Tim]

OUR PRAYER LIST
April Monthly Report: Part 1 We greet you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus
Christ. We trust and hope you will enjoy reading this
report which is a summary of the Lord's work in
Zimbabwe during the month of April 2018.
WBS Student We begin with a message we received from Sithem-
bile Nyoni -(23), a WBS student from Plumtree. She
wrote:"Thank you for the lovely certificate which you
sent me last week. In fact, it is not the certificate
which I prize most but the knowledge of the Bible
which I have gained so far. My enthusiasm in the
studies is growing by the day and my wish is to com-
plete all the upcoming courses. I now have a broader
understanding of many Bible doctrines. Thank you
very much."
We are happy that these lessons are accomplishing
their intended purpose of making people who are
serious with their studies understand the Word of
God. This makes it more relevant that we continue
patiently teaching the Bible to as many people as
possible. We thank you our brethren for supplying us
with these WBS Courses as we continue to reach
many lost sinners with the Gospel Truth.
Baptism We are always happy and delighted each time we
see those in darkness turning their lives through
obedience and baptism to Christ. It is hard to con-
ceptualise the happiness we feel in our hearts. Dur-
ing the month in review, we baptized six souls. May
our good Lord receive all praise!
MISSIONARY UPDATE: VELAPHI MELANGANI Teaching/Preaching We continued teaching our students in different
locations of the city. We also had rural preaching
trips.
Medical checks We crossed the border to South Africa for medical
check up and will do so again during the middle of
this month.
Relief Food
Our brothers and sisters who received mealie meal
at Stanhope and Sailor Jack congregations were very
grateful indeed. They requested that we extend their
thankfulness to all our brothers and sisters who are
dedicating financial resources to assist them in their
needs. In Him, Velaphi and Stella
