Sunday 19th April 2020 Well done to Kathryn and our Young People who created such a lovely Easter Garden and other images of Holy Week & Easter shared on our Facebook Group! Thanks to Jess & Graham who are making these noces available to those who pass our church. Mahew 28:5-8 The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. From the depths of despair in Holy Week we have moved to the heights of joy on Easter Sunday. Jesus fully entered into human suffering. In His rising again, that suffering is redeemed and transformed into hope and joy. Aſter Jesusdeath his disciples were afraid and all seemed lost and hopeless, but the risen Christ met them in their despair and restored hope through his victory over death. We pray that the world today might know this hope in place of despair. Live-streamed Services (usually with a catch-up opon if you wish to view at a later me) but many others available. Well done to Kathryn and our Young People who created such a lovely Easter Garden and other images of Holy Week & Easter shared on our Facebook Group!

Thanks to Jess & Graham who are making these notices available to those who pass our church.

    Matthew 28:5-8

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’”

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

From the depths of despair in Holy Week we have moved to the heights of joy on Easter Sunday. Jesus fully entered into human suffering. In His rising again, that suffering is redeemed and transformed into hope and joy. After Jesus’ death his disciples were afraid and all seemed lost and hopeless, but the risen Christ met them in their despair and restored hope through his victory over death. We pray that the world today might know this hope in place of despair.

Live-streamed Services (usually with a catch-up option if you wish to view at a later time) but many others available.
