Meet at the entrance to the church grounds, between St. Fintan’s / Kill Abbey estates.

This summer, for the first time, guided tours of Kill Abbey will be provided. The church, believed to have been dedicated to St. Fintan, dates back to the tenth or eleventh century and is one of the oldest in south Dublin.

Meet at the Barton Road roundabout, near bridge over bypass.

A thousand years ago half the land of Dundrum was granted to the church, giving two local histories, and this tour takes in both. Starting at the Castle and then looking at the village on the way, it ends at the church lands in St. Nahi’s, with its fine stained glass windows, and where many interesting people have been laid to rest.
