HOOKED ON GOLF SUMMER CAMPSArlington Golf Summer Camps are designed to get students “Hooked on Golf” in a fun and exciting environment. Each camp runs for four days, 90 minutes each day, and costs $79 per week. Students will learn the very basics in pitching, putting, chipping and full swing, while having a great time, and meeting new friends. The final day of the camp will feature a skills competition with prizes awarded!

SUMMER CAMPS

ARLINGTON TENNIS CENTER CAMPSArlington Tennis Center Summer Junior Camps are designed for all levels of players ages 4–6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11–16. 10 & Under camps (ages 4–6, 7–8 and 9–10) use ‘right sized’ courts, nets and racquets for younger players. (Note: Ages 4–6 meets for one hour only, Monday–Thursday.) Beginner camps (Ages 11–16) introduce the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and games format. Performance camps are designed for advanced, high school and qualified players.

Camps are Monday-Thursday and are taught and supervised by USPTA certified professionals to ensure the highest quality instruction. A light snack is offered daily mid-way through the camp. Campers may bring their own drinks, or purchase them at ATC. Facility cards are not required for ATC programs. Credit vouchers are issued for camp dates missed due to weather. ATC does not offer credit vouchers for class dates missed due to student absences.

Stated price is for the full camp week, Monday–Thursday. The July 1-3 camp is a three-day camp (skip July 4) and is prorated. No camp weeks of June 24-27 and July 22-25. Court assignments are subject to change. Please check in at the front counter. Receive a $5 discount on a prestrung beginner racquet with your first registration for 10 & Under or Beginner camps!

Camps begin on June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1 (three-day camp), July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12 and August 19.

RECREATION INSIDE COVERFULL DAY CAMPSFull day camps offer a new theme each week with games, crafts and other fun activities. Campers swim at least once a week at a nearby pool. Six field trips are planned per summer. Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day. An afternoon snack is provided. The camp is for ages 5–12. Each family will receive a parent’s packet at registration outlining activities, the overview of each week, discipline policies and a copy of our Standards of Care procedures. Annual Membership Card required.

When registering online, the stated price includes any advertised discounts, and only the full week fee is available.

MINI CAMPSA wide variety of Mini Camps are offered either 9 AM–12 PM or 1–4 PM unless stated differently. Qualified instructors are carefully selected to ensure your child has a fun time and learns the skills presented. Campers enrolled in a Parks and Recreation Full Day Camp may enroll in a Mini Camp the same week at the same location for a discounted price of 25% off the Mini Camp.

SPECIALTY CAMPSThere are numerous full day and partial day specialty camps offered. Fees, field trips and guest speakers vary and are listed when possible in each description.

REGISTRATIONRegistration is on a first-come-first-served basis. It is to your advantage to register as soon as possible to ensure enrollment. All programs require advance registration and an annual membership. Register by phone, online or by visiting a recreation center. Checks should be made payable to the “City of Arlington”. A charge of $25 will be assessed on all returned checks. Phone-in registrations are by credit card only. A participant’s information form must be completed for each camper.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP CARDSAnnual membership cards are required for participation in all classes and programs at the recreation centers. This ID card is issued at the time of purchase and is valid for one year. Residents include anyone who lives within Arlington’s incorporated city limits. Proof of residency is required.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEEDIf you are not happy with the quality of a program, please tell a member of our staff immediately. That will give us an opportunity to correct the situation or credit your account for an activity at a later date. We value you as a customer!

REFUND POLICYA customer must withdraw from a program three days prior to the start of the first class to be eligible for a refund. Facility membership cards are verification of membership to the facility and entitle holders to all benefits of the membership. Membership cards are the property of the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Fees for classes or programs, which are canceled by the Parks and Recreation Department, are fully refundable. We encourage our customers to utilize their funds to re-enroll in other classes.

Our staff members will gladly assist with finding the same class if it is offered at a different time or location, or otherwise aid the customer in finding a suitable alternative. Participants removed from a Parks and Recreation facility, class, program, or lesson due to disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund.

DAY CAMP OPEN HOUSEMeet the instructors and receive a 10% discount on camp and class registrations at our Day Camp Open House on Thursday, May 30, from 6-8 PM at Cliff Nelson, Dottie Lynn and Hugh Smith Recreation Centers, and the Hugh Smith Indoor Pool. Discount available all day.
