Do You Need Help With Your Child's Math Homework?
Why You Never Learned How to do Your Child’s Math Homework: A Primer onMath Instruction in the 2020 Classroom
Join us this Friday at 9:00am in the Large Pod for the PTO meeting and then Parent Universitypresented by our very own Mr. Mosher!
This session will discuss how math instruction has changed since most of us parents were inelementary school. We’ll highlight current best practices, why math seems so different now-a-days,and provide suggestions for supporting your child’s math development at school and at home. Avariety of examples will be presented that showcase how we support students learning the “why”behind math, rather than just the “how.”
The presentation will start immediately after the PTO meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!And if you can't be there, watch a live stream on our Facebook Page!
Volunteer At Fun Fair And Earn Rewards!
Spring Hill’s 54th Annual Fun Fair is coming up on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00am -3:00pm with carnival games, raffles, face painting, prizes, delicious food, the cake walk and somuch more fun for all ages to support Spring Hill’s PTO!
SHE Room Parents will be helping each homeroom solicit 10 volunteers. Early sign-ups from nowthrough February 14th will be through your Room Parents and will make you eligible for ourPARENT REWARDS!
Sign up by January 31st:-1 free ticket to the Taste of Spring Hill on April 23rd (Max 2 tickets per household) AND-10 free tickets to use at Fun Fair AND-Get early access to our Master Volunteer Signup Genius from 2/15-2/18. You’ll have first pick at
which game or station you’d like to volunteer at, and can coordinate with friends!

Please Note: In order to receive your prizes, Parent Volunteers must Check In and Check Out withthe Fun Fair Volunteer Coordinators in the SHE Front Office at Fun Fair.

Toys/Gifts Needed For Fun Fair Raffle
Organization for the Fun Fair Raffle is underway and we need your help. We are in need of newtoy and gift donations so that we can create an amazing collection of prizes for the Fun Fair Raffle. All Fun Fair proceeds support our school! If you can add an extra fun item to your Christmas shopping list, gather together those never usedtoys to make way for new holiday spoils or receive extra gifts at Christmas you cannot use, wewould love to add them to our raffle prize list. There is a large box in the front office labeled Fun Fair Raffle Prizes where you can drop off yourdonations.

Bids For Kids Coming Soon!
What is Bids for Kids?
Bids for Kids is the PTO’s online auction that was designed to replace the Fun Fair tradition of
auctioning off class-created gift baskets. Our auction comes to life through generous donations ofgoods, services, gift cards, and much more by local businesses and Spring Hill parents. These itemsare then made available for our greater school community to bid on electronically.
This year’s Bids for Kids will consist of two opportunities to support the school:
Online Auction - open Saturday, February 1st through 10:00pm Sunday, February 9th
Bids for Kids’ Bingo Night - a family-friendly FUNdraising event the night of Friday, February7th
We need everyone’s help to make this fundraiser a success! Proceeds from these events will beutilized at the school through appropriations and continued support towards technology upgrades,educational enhancements, field trips, cultural arts events, teacher/staff support, and facilityimprovements.
Donate an Auction Item
Parents, do you own a business? Have a product or service you could share? Have access to avacation home, season tickets, etc? If so, please consider supporting our auction!

Get Ready For Bingo Night!
Spring Hill PTO will be hosting a BINGO NIGHT to celebrate our Bids for Kids annual online auction!
When: Friday, February 7th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Doors open for food sales at 6:00pm, gamesbegin at 6:45pm.
Where: Spring Hill Elementary Cafeteria
Who: This family-friendly FUNdraising event is open to our entire school community, however dueto space restrictions only 300 entrance tickets will be available for purchase.
What: BINGO! Bingo is a simple game designed for all ages. Prizes will be given to each winningbingo player and food will be available for purchase (cash only).
How: Entrance tickets must be purchased in advance from the PTO SHOP. They cost be $5 perperson and include 1 Bingo game board. Want to increase your odds of winning? Extra game boardsmay be purchased in the SHOP for $5 each.
