Subprefecture
Subprefecture is an administrative division of a countrythat is below prefecture or province.
1 AlbaniaThere are twelve Albanian counties or prefectures, eachof which is subdivided into several districts, sometimestranslated as subprefectures.

2 BrazilIn Brazil the subprefectures (Portuguese: subprefeituras)are administrative divisions of some big cities, such as SoPaulo and Rio de Janeiro. The head of a subprefecture,the subprefeito, is indicated by the municipalitys mayor(in Brazil called prefeito).In So Paulo there are 31 subprefectures. The largest intotal area, Parelheiros, covers 353.5 km, and the mostpopulous, Capela do Socorro, has more than 600,000 in-habitants.
