a �rst come, �rst serve basis. Group classenrollment is for two months, unless

The name SKIES Unlimited stands for the “Schoolof Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills.”

SKIES Unlimited o�ers instructional classes thatare not typically o�ered in a school or a child

care setting, such as ballet, martial artsand guitar lessons.

The SKIES Unlimited Program in Stuttgartsupports the Child, Youth & School Services

commitment to families by enhancing options fordevelopment of children/youth through quality

learning opportunities.

We o�er instructional classes for children/youth inour Schools of Academics, Arts, Life Skills, and

Sports. SKIES Unlimited is committed to creatingan environment of excellence by providing qualityclasses by instructors who are experienced in their�elds. Classes are o�ered for speci�c age groups

ranging from 6 months to 18 years of age.

Payment is due at time of registration forgroup classes and due by 1 November 2012

for private instructional lessons. Refundsare not authorized for withdrawal from SKIES

instructional classes once the session o�ciallybegins. A two (2) week withdraw notice is

required for all private instructional lessons.

Sensory Integration ServicesProvided by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist,these services will assist children/youth by workingon the foundational skills needed to improvesensory processing of self-regulation/behavior,attention and sensory processing as related toemotional responses. This service will expand playskills, improve behavioral outcomes, improve oralmotor skills and assist in �ne/gross motor skills.

Handwriting without TearsA fun, multisensory way for children to learn hand-writing by participating in games and activities, that help them develop skills for handwriting mastery.

School of Sports, Fitness and Health

AikidoAikido is a Japanese martial art that is used to defend oneself while also protecting the attacker from injury. The defender uses the attacker’s momentum to redirect the force back to the attacker. Students will learn various throws, pins, strikes, rolls and how to fall safely. Aikidowill improve the student’s �exibility, relaxation and endurance.

CapoeiraCapoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music, and dance. It was created in Brazil by slaves from Africa by mixing the many �ghting styles from many of their tribes.

Soo Bahk DoSoo Bahk Do is a traditional Korean martial art. It combines martial arts techniques with defensivephilosophy that emphasizes and supports core values.

Driver’s Education for High School StudentsThe Stuttgart CYS Services SKIES Unlimited Program is o�ering driver's education classes. The Driver's Education class will beo�ered by local Army approved, German Driving School Instructors! The simulator class introduces students to driving in the United States with a stateside curriculum. The course encompasses 50 classroom instruction hours and 10 instructional hours of simulator practice. Upon successful completion, students will receive 0.5 high school semester credits. The class is located in bldg. 2312, 2nd �oor, next to the high school. The class fee is $300.00. Refunds will not be authorized. The class is open for youth 15 and older. Youth also have the option of enrolling in 6 instructional hours of on-post behind-the-wheel driving instruction. This instruction occurs on-post in the school's vehicle. The vehicle is a manual transmission. There is an additional fee of $300 for this instruction with enrollment in the simulator class. If a student enrolls in behind-the-wheel training only, or after the simulator class, the fees are $360. Youth must be 16.5 and older to participate in behind-the-wheel driving instruction. BalletFoot positions, arm and head positions, pliés, pirouettes, jumps, etc are taught. Ballet helps children develop strength, posture, grace, coordination, muscle tone, technique, and music awareness.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

Classes are tailored to the individualneeds and goals of each student.

Private music lessons are available for children ages 5 and up. Please contact Parent Central Services and �nd out about openings or to place your child/youth on our wait list for services.

Children/Youth scheduled for lessons after 5 p.m. at the Panzer Sports Building, after 6 p.m. at Patch SAC (Bldg. 2312) andafter 6 p.m. at Kelley SAC/Annex must have a parent or responsible sibling 13 years or older on-site during the lesson. Pleaserefer to receipt for no class days or instructor leave days. Your instructor will notify you of any unexpected changes.
