obligation and responsibility in leadership as it is a
mark of highest distinction and honor. Membership is

to graduate students; to faculty, staff, administration,
and alumni; and to persons qualifying for membership
"honoris causa." Student membership candidates must

Our Mission The mission of the Lisa A. Pierce
Center for Leadership is to foster
the learning of leadership princi-
ples by students and facilitate
the use of these principles in
their lives at NJIT and their
local communities.
About Lisa A. Pierce Lisa worked as the
Assistant
Director for Leader-
ship and Wellness
Programs. She loved
working with stu-
dents and improving
their college experience. It was
not surprising that Lisa volun-
teered to moderate a school trip.
Unfortunately we lost Lisa & her
mom in a tragic water taxi acci-
dent that weekend. Students,
faculty and staff agreed to dedi-
cating the Leadership Center in
her name due to her commit-
ment, passion & 10 years of
dedication to college students.
ILead Magazine The student leader
magazine is published
online once a semester,
and provides articles,
guides, and resources for
student leaders. If you’d
like to contribute an article, blog or “shout out”
a student leader, e-mail us.
