    *Organizations (SLC, SAPB, PLR, PTK, Courier, Forensics) are not eligible for these awards.

    All other Student Activity clubs and Honor Societies are eligible.

    College of DuPage Student Activities Awards

    Awards will be given at the Recognition Event on Monday, April 26, 2010.

    Club of the Year AwardThis annual award recognizes a club which has demonstrated their outstanding commitment to thecommunity of College of DuPage. The Club of the Year will be selected by the Student Activities

    Award Committee based on demonstration of quality efforts, not just the amount of members and

    size of events. Applications for this award will be in the form of Club Portfolios, which are due backto the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15. The Club will be awarded tickets to Six Flags

    Great America, as well as a plaque. Portfolios must include proof of:

    1. Dedication toward mission of the club2. Participation in leadership opportunities3.

    Creativity in accomplishing groups goals, including recruitment4. Participation in Collegiate Council

    5. Adherence to Student Activities timelines and deadlines such as food waivers, clubregistration, vendors, contracts, etc.

    6. Nominations in other categories.Student Leader of the Year Award

    This annual award recognizes an outstanding student who is involved with Student Activities. The

    Student Leader of the Year will be selected by the Student Activities Award Committee based onadvisor nominations, must meet the minimum criteria of a 2.0 gpa and be in good standing with thecollege. The Student Leader will be awarded a $100 gift certificate to the bookstore, as well as a

    plaque. Nomination forms are due back to the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15. It willinclude questions such as:

    1. What is the students level of involvement with the individual club?2. Is the student involved in leadership opportunities?

    3. What qualities/characteristics does the student exhibit that warrant recognition as StudentLeader of the Year?

    Advisor of the Year AwardThis annual award recognizes outstanding efforts on the part of club advisors. The Advisor of theYear will be selected by the Student Activities Award Committee based on nominations by clubs

    which are due back to the Student Activities office by Monday, March 15. The Advisor will beawarded a $100 gift certificate to the bookstore, as well as a plaque. (Advisors may not win twoyears in a row.) Nomination form will include questions such as:

    1. How has the advisor impacted the individuals in the club?

    2. How has the advisor impacted the club as a whole?3. What characteristics does this club advisor possess that makes them stand out from

    others?
