the guard did not turn up, if the guard clocked late; if the guard missed a checkpoint; if the guard is sleeping. Each clocking typically takes just two seconds to reach the monitoring room, using the integrated GPRS modem.

Panic button feature for guard protectionProvide safety and protection to the guard, especially during night patrol as the guard may be threatened. Active Track comes with a built-in panic button to call for help. The signal takes seconds via GPRS to reach the monitoring station and is interpreted as a request to send reinforcement.

Highly robust handheld unit with anti-sabotage feature and IP ratingGuards are not angels and often try to sabotage their guard tour device to avoid following the assigned routine. Active Track comes with IP67 rating, is water resistant and shock resistant. Any attempt to cause excessive shock is recorded with date and time as well as reported to the monitoring station. Integrated voice communication with the remote control roomUsing conventional guard tour systems, guards are provided with a mobile phone to maintain communication. Very often, the phone usage is abused by the guards by making personal calls. With Active Track, mobile phones are no longer needed because the device comes with built-in voice communication. To prevent abuse, Active Track only allows the calling of pre-designated numbers (typically the control room). Simply press the special ‘Call Me’ button on the device to initiate the call.

Active View web based viewingActive View is a web based application to provide event information to owners and managers to keep track of the whereabouts of their personnel from any web enabled device. Using a simple web browser, users can view on-line the locations of their staff as well as receive notifications of irregular events like checkpoints not clocked at designated time, sabotage attempts, incidents reporting and panic alerts.

RFID TagsThe location tags used are based on RFID technology, allowing the handheld unit to read the ID of each button within 3-4cm range without making any contact.

Geo FencingIt is possible to track and monitor the position of GPS users and automatically receive a notification if the user crosses the boundary of a pre-determined zone.

GPS trackingActive Track comes with geographical tracking and viewing of personnel’s movement on Google Maps from any browser. Because it uses A-GPS (Assisted GPS), tracking of the device is possible both indoors and outdoors. A-GPS helps by delivering satellite data such as accurate time and satellite status to the GPS receiver.
