Crash Data 2010 – 2020

▪ 35 crashes total

– 3 years had 5 crashes each

– Disregard stop sign or FTYROW – stop sign most common

– 10 East bound/South bound

– 11 West bound/South bound

– 5 East bound/ North bound

– 4 West bound/North bound

– 3 fatal

– 7 suspected serious injury

– 7 non incapacitating injury

SL 390 at FM 1998 HSIP Project

▪ HSIP submission, 5 KA crashes in 3 years.

– Did not meet signal warrants

– Existing span wire flashing beacon

– Modernize flashing beacon, install advance warning signals and signs, and safety

lighting at the intersection

– “Do nothing” not good option, opportunity for improvement
