Baptism and Baptismal instruction.
Communion to the Sick Those parishioners who are confined to their home may
request the Sacrament of Holy Communion by calling the
Parish Office.

NO COST BREAST CANCER SCREENING The American-Italian Cancer Foundation will have a
“Mobile Unit” here at St. Michael’s to provide No-Cost
Breast Cancer Screenings for women, age 40 and over,
who have not had a Mammogram in the last 12 months
on Sunday, February 23rd from 9:00am-4:30pm.

The United States CENSUS 2020 Is Hiring!
The US Census is now hiring. Thousands of jobs are
avaliable nationwide, as well as in Sunset Park. The US
Census is hiring people in Sunset park to work in Sunset
park! Anybody who is interest it can apply
at 2020census.gov/jobs or call 1-855-JOB-2020 for more
information or help applying.
ADULT SACRAMENTS
** Classes will begin on Monday, February 3rd**
Any adult who has received Baptism and has not
received Communion and/or Confirmation may register
at the Rectory for preparation classes to receive the
Sacrament of Confirmation this Spring. You will need to
bring your Birth and Baptism Certificates. Classes will
begin in February. If you have any questions or would
like more information you can call the rectory at

NEW ALTAR SERVER TRAINING
TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 3RD AT 5PM &
SATURDAY - FEBRUARY 8THAT 10:30 AM
Training for new Altar Servers will be held in the
Church on Tuesday February, 3rd at 5pm and Saturday,
February 8th at 10:30am . Boys and girls who are in 4th
Grade and older and have made their First Communion
or are in their 2nd Year of Catechism and will receive
their First Holy Communion in May 2020 are eligible to
serve. Registration Forms are available in the Rectory
or in the Catechism Program and must be filled out by a
Parent. Any parents who have questions or would like
more information may speak with Fr. Kevin, or Mrs.
Inés, or call the Rectory Office (718-768-6065).
YOUTH TESTIMONIAL NIGHT As part of the ongoing celebrations to mark the 150th an-
niversary of Saint Michael’s RC Church there will be a
Youth Testimonial night on Thursday February 7th, 2020
from 6:30pm to 11:00pm. Beginning with a bilingual ro-
sary, a eucharist and Holy Hour with exposition to the
Blessed Sacrament accompanied by praise and song. If

FREE ENGLISH CLASSES
345 43rd Street @ 4th Ave in Room #42—4th Floor New York Communities for Change is offering free
English classes for the Fall semester! Registration will
take place Tuesday , January 28th & Thursday January
30th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm . For more information,

SECOND COLLECTION Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and
Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"
Collections will be helping us to pay for the Renovation of
the Pope Francis Center. We ask all parishioners to be as
generous as possible and thank everyone for their
sacrifices and generous support!
BLESSING OF THROATS IN THE FEAST OF
ST. BLAISE (FEBRUARY 3RD)
Monday, February 3rd is the Feast of St. Blaise,
Bishop and Martyr. We will have the traditional
“Blessing of Throats” after the Morning (9am) and
evening (6:30pm) masses.
COMMUNITY WEDDINGS We are beginning the preparations for our annual celebration of
a “Community Wedding”. We will have a meeting on Sunday,
February 23rd at 2:00pm in the Rectory for all couples who are
interested. Also, any couple who is interested can make an appoint-
ment to speak with Fr. Kevin or Fr. Eduardo by calling the Rectory
(718-768-6065). We encourage couples who are interested to make
an appointment to speak with one of the priest as soon as possible.

DETECCION DE CANCER DE MAMA A NO COSTO
La Fundación Américo-Italiana de Cáncer tendrá una
"unidad móvil" aquí en San Miguel para proporcionar
examen de mama gratis para aquellas mujeres de 40
años o más, que no se han hecho una mamografía en los
últimos 12 meses. Será el Domingo, 23 de Febrero de

SACRAMENTOS PARA ADULTOS
**Las clases comenzaran el Lunes 3 de febrero**
Cualquier adulto que haya recibido el Bautismo y no
haya recibido la Comunión y / o la Confirmación puede
registrarse en la Rectoría para las clases de preparación
para recibir el Sacramento de la Confirmación esta
primavera. Deberá traer sus certificados de nacimiento

La capacitación para los nuevos Servidores será en la
Iglesia, el martes 3 de febrero a las 5:00 pm y sabado 8
de febrero a las 10:30am. Son elegibles los niños/as que
están en 4to grado o más y que han hecho su primera
comunión o están en su 2do año de catecismo y recibirán
la primera comunión en mayo de 2020. Los formularios
de inscripción están disponibles en la Rectoría o en el
Programa de Catecismo y deben ser completados por un
padre. Cualquier padre que tenga preguntas o desee más
información puede hablar con el Padre Kevin, Sra. Inés o
llame a la Oficina de la Rectoría.
NOCHE TESTIMONIAL JUVENIL Como parte de las celebraciones del 150 aniversario de la
parroquia de San Miguel, habra una noche testimonial
juvenil el 7 de febrero desde las 6:30pm hasta las 11:00pm.
Empezando con un Rosario Bilingüe y seguido por
celebración eucarístíca, hora santa con exposición del
Santísimo y acompañado por alabanza y cantos. Para más

BENDICION DE GARGANTAS EN LA FIEST DE
SAN BLAS (3 DE FEBRERO)
El Lunes 3 de febrero es la fiesta de San Blas, Obispo
y mártir. Tendremos la tradición “Bendición de
Garganta” después de las misas del a mañana (9am) y
de la tarde (6:30pm)
BODAS COMUNITARIAS Estamos comenzando los preparativos para nuestra celebración
anual de las “Bodas Comunitarias” Tendremos una reunión el
domingo 2 de febrero a las 2:00pm en la Rectoría para todas las
parejas que estén interesadas. Además, Cualquier pareja que no
pueda asistir a la reunión puede hacer una cita para hablar con el
P. Edvard llamando a la Rectoría (718-768-6065). Alentamos a las
parejas que estén interesadas a hacer una cita para hablar con uno
de los sacerdotes lo antes posible.

All parishioners are invited to be part of “WHY CATHOLIC?” by joining a
small, faith sharing group and meeting throughout Lent.
You can join a “WHY CATHOLIC?” group by filling out a Registration card in
the back of the church or at the Rectory and a group leader will contact you about
being part of a group that will meet on a day and time that fits your schedule!
Groups will begin the last week of February.
