valued guests, who are our top priority! For CDT, at its core, is truly about making a difference, creating memories and celebrating your most special moments. So welcome back and now sit back, relax and enjoy!

We are beyond thrilled to welcome all of you back to Chanhassen

Dinner Theatres and are so grateful to our audiences for standing loyally with us through these past many months. We were happy and very grateful to see many of you here since last July to enjoy an evening at Brindisi’s Pub, Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret, or for our acclaimed Concert Series, which made its temporary home on the Main Stage. We were grateful to be one of the few entertainment establishments that was able to find a way to be safely open to entertain even a small number of guests. We are also grateful to our employees for hanging in there to serve our guests during a difficult time. And we are grateful to everyone who followed the safety guidelines so we could be there for those who longed for the live entertainment experience. We are just plain grateful – and so happy to be reopening our stellar production of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man and to welcome back actors, musicians, crews and staff, who have also been longing to get back to all of this great work once again.

There were a lot of lessons learned from these past many months, the greatest being that we never want to take our work and our friendships for granted or our abilities to serve audiences who appreciate the work we do and to remain true to our mission – to entertain and make people happy.

The nearly 300 of us who work together to serve you are motivated by you, our

Steven L. Peters, Tamara Kangas Erickson & Michael Brindisi

Here at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, we provide inspired

FROM THE DIRECTOR, MICHAEL BRINDISI

T his is my fourth time (third time for CDT) directing The Music Man. This time, the play took on a new meaning for me as it always does. I think the play is about believing. All human beings need something to believe in. There may be

a little “Confidence Man” in each of us; I think that’s o.k. — as long as what we are “selling” is the good stuff. Without even knowing it, Harold Hill is selling the people of River City the good stuff — HOPE! I continue to have hope for humans that we can live together in peace and harmony. I am a believer in people, that with our differences, our different opinions, our different politics, we can come together as humans and just accept and love each other. “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” (John Lennon)

“Making it up as we go since 1989”

STEVIE RAY (Co-Founder/Executive Direc-tor), the only person in the country to design his own college degree in comedy, has entertained audiences since his first show at the age of nine. Stevie has opened for such stars as Paula Poundstone

and “Weird Al” Yankovic. He has been a noted keynote speaker and corporate trainer across the country for over 30 years and is the author of a dozen books. He is a nationally syndicated colum-nist for the Business Journal Newspapers. In his free time, he is a beekeeper and volunteers record-ing books on tape for the blind. Stevie has studied seven martial arts and hold black belts in four of them. At one point in his career, he was actually a bodyguard for Pee Wee Herman (yes, really). He lives in Burnsville with his wife and stepdaughter and learned his quick-thinking skills trying to win debates with them.

JOE HARSTAD (Artistic Director) took his first improv class at the age of fifteen, and has been practicing the art ever since. In 2015, Joe moved from performing to directing. Joe creates new troupes and develops new themes for the shows, directs performances at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret, and directs the School of Improv, training new instructors as well as teaching improv and stand-up comedy classes himself. When not sitting in the director’s booth at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret, you will often find Mr. Harstad in the sound and light booth, lending his talents as a technician (it also allows him to keep an eye on the troupe).

PAMELA MAYNE (Co-Founder/Director of Operations) co-founded Stevie Ray’s Improv Company with Stevie Ray in 1989 and has been the force behind the scenes ever since. Besides overseeing operations of the company, she has

created hits including O Little Town of Chanhassen, Y2K: How the Glitch Stole Christmas and The Full Santy. She co-produced two Minneapolis Improv events in 1996 and 1999 – the first national improv festivals in Minnesota – as well as three 26-hour comedy marathons to raise funds for charitable causes in the Twin Cities. Her work has been featured in the Star Tribune, Twin Cities Revue and the Minnesota Women’s Press. In 2010, she was honored with the Improv Pioneer award, recognizing her work in bringing new and emerging artists to the stage and advancing the art of improvisational theatre.
