Gorrick Spring Series

Having missed a couple of the early Gorrick spring series rounds Alister Fairbairn made up for

lost time with a string of consistent finishes in the remaining 3 rounds to finish 2nd place over-

all. 2 podium placing third places and a top ten 9th, placing Al on the final podium. Its a great

start to the season. Next up the Southern XC champ’s and MBUK Royal Rumble 4 hour enduro

followed by the Erlestoke 12 hour pairs. Moving towards the longer marathon events which the

team has targeted as their goal, Al will be teaming up with Russell Mockford, Stevens UK brand

manager for a shot at another podium, Rus will be looking for a shot of something to dull the

pain.

Al’s equipment has been proving it self in this early season, moving from a HazeES carbon hard-

tail to a new carbon Fluent ES short travel full suspension model, ideally suited towards the

longer events. Mavic Fury shoes and Plasma Helmet have been a great addition to the kit. Fury

carbon soled shoes have been a particular favourite of the team, super light and mighty stiff.
