ProMETATraining Christian leaders around the world

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many wit-
nesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach oth-
ers. (2 Ti. 2:2)
These words from Paul to Timothy animate our vision in ProMETA, as
we ponder about the need of more than 800,000 qualified leaders that
the church in Latin America needs to do the Lords ministry. If we think
about the needs of Spanish speaking churches around the world, that
number increases significantly.
That is why we want to share with you our joy of seeing the first gradu-ates of our programs.
Also, we praise the Lord for the significant role you have played to
bring us to this point. Certainly, your prayers and support have empow-
ered us to teach those whom the Lord is using to lead his church around
the world.
Last April 30, we graduated the first group of stu-
dents. These are students whove been trained over
the internet and, therefore, some of them couldnt
be present in person in Costa Rica. For that reason,
we had a virtual graduation that people could
watch online around the world.
As we had planned, while we were graduating
Costa Rican students live, two students were par-
ticipating of the ceremony, watching it on big
screens at a church and at a home. During the ac-tual time when we presenting their diplomas to our
students in Costa Rica, a local Christian leader was
presenting the diplomas to students in Venezuela.
In the pictures below, we want to share with you
the precious moments of our graduation. Enjoy!
For several months we won-
dered about the idea of having
a virtual graduation. We had-
nt heard of such a thing done
in Latin America. However,
Henry Happ, our Director of
Technology, was very confi-
dent that it was possible. Here
he is with Ben Duggan check-
ing the last minute details.
Alexander, a
graduate, how-
ever, was won-
dering how
things weregoing to turn
out.
As usual, Becky was very confident that
the Lord would oversee the process, so
she took care of some of the details.
Our ceremony was held against the back-
drop of flags representing our dream of
training Hispanic Christian leaders around
the world.

Working together to serve the Lord...
Our team members present at the graduation.
We praise the Lord for giving us a great team!
Every one is passionate about his or her re-
sponsibilities, and all of us are committed to
glorifying God in what we do. In this picture
we see (from left to right, back to front):
Mervin B., Ted K., Mario B., Marcette H.,
Keith A., Judy M., Henry H., Judy A.,
Since ProMETA teaches completely online,
not every professor lives in Costa Rica. Forthis reason, at this graduation, we had only six
professors present in person. However, the rest
of our faculty was able to watch it online, and
rejoice with us as we remembered the process
the Lord has brought us through since we
started praying and dreaming about this day.
We in ProMETA recognize that it has only
been because Gods grace that weve come to
this point. We also recognize the significant
role you have played, empowering us to fulfill
the Lords call in our lives.
As we reflect back to the early 90s,
when some members of our team
started dreaming about a training
venue for leaders in Latin America,
little did we realized then, that the
Lord already had ProMETA in mind.
We look forward to what He will
continue doing in the future, as we
train and equip a new generation of
leaders, that he will use to strengthen
His church .
We pray for these leaders to proclaim
the lordship of Christ everywhere
around the world.
Quique with Guido, they enjoyed working
together when Guido was his student.
Becky has been instrumental
in ProMETAs ministry.
In case you missed seeing the graduation online, here are a couple of videos and pictures! Enjoy!
