3. The Christian life is not just like a war …
… it is a war!

4. Prayer and fasting is a great place to start

5. We should pray …
… and we should also wait on God for Him to answer
(Jehoshaphat’s prayer is a lot like the Lord’s Prayer!)

6. God speaks encouragement and direction to His people through prophecy

7. We need to humbly honour both God and God given authority

8. We need to step out in obedient faith

9. Worship and spiritual breakthrough are linked

10. God works all things together for our good

11. We should remember to thank God for what He’s done

12. One day we will rest from our battles and enjoy God’s peace

As a church, and as individuals, we should remember that …• We are in a lifelong spiritual war
• God knows our situation and He knows the enemy’s plans
• They are all ultimately God’s battles
• We can pray, fast and seek God’s will
• We need to obey Him in faith
• God will strengthen us and even fight for us
• Our ultimate victory is guaranteed

We have all we need to prevail in spiritual warfare
Ephesians 6:10-18
Jesus fought for us and He has already won the war through
His life, His death and His resurrection!
