• The Spiderwick Chronicles is a 2008-released movie , directed by Mark Waters. It was produced by Mark Canton, Larry Franco, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Karey Kirkpatrick. It is a s Fantasy Sci-Fi movie adapted from Holly Black and Tony DiTerilizzi’s best selling stories published in the same name. The Film stars with Arthur Spiderwick(David Strathairn) writing a book. The book is about all unseen creatures invisible to naked eye. As soon as He stamps the book he hears a strange sound. He runs off.

• Then the story is resumed after 80 years. A Family of 3 Children with their mother comes to stay in the house. Jared(Freddie Highmore) , one son, finds the strange book after some adventures and reads the book ignoring the warning written on it. Next day, Thimbletack. A small creature which loves honey was found and Jared informed this to his siblings, but the ignored him. Later, Simon(Freddie Highmore) (Double act) was kidnapped by Mulgarith (a beast) for the book. A safety bound of mushrooms ,till then protected the book from the goblins. Later, Mallory (Sarah Bolger) believes her brother and protects the book according to Spiderwick’s request since he was alive and all the 80 years was just like a day for him.

• At the end ,Jared and team some how defeats the goblins and protect the book. Finally ,Spiderwick arrives with fairies. And takes his 86 years old daughter with him as she requested him to do so. The daughter changes to the 6 year old. It is a great movie, worth watching. It is a PG movie since it feels somewhat scary at the beginning.
