PROFILE

As a highly motivated, self-starter with leadership training, I seek to join a progressive company where I can leverage my capabilities and experience in healthcare and forge a long term career.

With my customer facing experience, where I have had the opportunity to understand their workflows and implement best practices while directly interacting with clinical end-users, I am uniquely positioned to provide contributions in the product management group and help develop solutions that meet the customer’s organization objectives while meeting the needs of the end-users

EDUCATION

Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO — Bachelor of Science, 2013

EXPERIENCE

Cerner Corporation, Kansas City – January 2014 - present

Consultant - February 2015 – present

- As a key member of the project team, I was accountable for several customers to help them implement software and solutions to achieve meaningful use metrics

- I worked directly with customers (department heads, end-users, and CIO staff) to analyze their workflows and help them set up best practices to achieve meaningful use metrics

- I participated in go-live events providing clinical end-users “elbow support” on how to use the applications

- Since the acquisition, I quickly learned Cerner’s Millennium solution and became qualified to implement and train a broad group of end-users, with different roles, at many Millennium sites. This gave me a very good perspective on two major applications in the HCIT industry and the end-user impressions of each of these solutions

- I was assigned to one of Cerner’s largest customers and prestigious project, Intermountain Health, to teach Millennium’s Acute Nursing workflow to hundreds of nurses and to better equip them streamline their nursing processes for the future. I also aided in their live event with support for both nurses and physicians to triage issues and aid in executing Millennium workflow

- For 2016, I aided in 8 hospitals successfully attesting for Meaningful Use and 3 hospitals successfully went live with our solutions

- I have been asked to mentor several colleagues in Meaningful Use implementations as well as alter/develop documentation based on industry and/or solution changes.

Implementation Consultant, Siemens Healthcare (now part of Cerner Corp) — January 2014-February 2015

- Based on my quick grasp of Soarian Clinicals, I was made a key member of the specially trained core team, Siemens Meaningful Use Command Center

- Over an eight month period, in collaboration with my team, I was instrumental in helping 15 customers attest for Meaningful Use, by helping with the system and application build, testing, and reporting for measures - all the way to attestation.

- I became the resident expert in Critical Quality Measure (CQM) remediation and analysis for the 29 measures that Soarian Clinicals supports for Meaningful Use and was the “go to” person for many of my colleagues for CQM related topics. This helped me work with the product management group closely as they rapidly introduced changes to the application based on customer and consultant feedback

- I conducted regular calls with my customers – often with c-suite and department heads – to align on progress and ensure we all stayed on plan to achieve attestation by their appointed deadline.

- Tasked with scaling my knowledge I trained several colleagues on CQM who became productive members of the Meaningful Use core team in short order

- Based on my performance and exceptional results, I was assigned to lead multiple projects for the future MU3 initiative beginning late 2015-early 2016 to design work plans and documentation for future Command Center participants. I successfully supported upwards of 20 hospitals to attest in some aspect of their MU needs.

- I supported 5-10 hospitals in on-site post system live events working hands-on with the hospital staff (including Physicians) to teach and learn Soarian. At these customer sites, I was able to find and document major issue and either triage them immediately or direct them to the right batch queue.

- Since these sites, multiple customers have requested that I return to further support their hospital and staff based on my effective teaching and performance.

- As a STAR program graduate, I mentored newer STAR program participants on job definitions, responsibilities, and expectations. I teach career and time management to incoming groups, as well as facilitate any questions they may have.

Pet Care Nurse, Banfield Pet Hospital; Greeley/Fort Collins, CO - 2011-2013

- As a veterinary technician, I aided my clients in pet-care using an industry designed software system with easy and efficient workflows to better technician charting. This was my first professional look at a type of HCIT.

- Among other duties (including inventory, cleaning, scheduling, billing, client facing tasks, etc.), I directly supported and drove patient care alongside the veterinarian including charting, administering medications, clinical documentation, and order set workflows.
