Conference programme

STEP MAURITIUS CONFERENCE 2017

With seismic changes taking place across the global trust and estate planning landscape, the STEP Mauritius Conference 2017 is aimed at providing an overview of the key recent trends and challenges faced by the trust industry and its practitioners as well as the opening up of new opportunities for trust jurisdictions with particular reference to Mauritius. The theme of this Conference will be ‘International Estate Planning: The Beginning of a New Era’ and promises to be an outstanding event.

The agenda focuses on the current regulatory environment and international challenges facing the trust and estate planning industry and our speakers will share their expert knowledge on the various topical issues which the industry is facing and will continue to face – from Common Reporting Standards to issues affecting South Africans funding offshore trusts and the new opportunities for Family Office structuring for affluent families in Africa.

Our panel of expert speakers reflect the range of topics which STEP Mauritius recognises are essential for the further growth of the trust and estate planning industry in Mauritius. International tax issues such as the impact of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) and Multilateral Instruments on IFCs will also be covered.

We look forward to seeing you at this landmark event.
