I teach children of all ages and College student STEM and creativity classes

I use 3D printers Computer modeling software Old fashioned crafts and cardboard models Hands-on experiments Drawing with pencil and paper The most important STEM tool is the human

imagination

3D printers are becoming more accessible and affordable

Libraries, schools and Makers spaces allow anyone to use 3d printers

STEM and Project Based Learning

STEM is the future of teaching

The world needs a whole generation of problem solves. Student can be educated to be divergent thinkers and to think outside the box. Students with open minds and flexible interest in many subjects are able to make new connections.

.

My Expectations for this class

To learn the theories and practices of implementing STEM education in the classroom

To design and assess my own STEM classes in the future.

To develop better teaching practices
