Key events prior to SGAs

• Inter-agency meeting on Jan 13 passes resolution to hold off SGAs because of low participation and upcoming elections

• Heads of NAPC lead agencies meeting on Jan 22 affirms recommendation of Jan 13 meeting

• Same day, NAPC indorses recommendation to OP

• On Feb 29, verbal order was relayed to push thru with SGAs

Conduct of SGAs 2010

• Conducted on February 5 to 7, 2010 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila for 13 sectors

• VDC Sector unable to conduct assembly due to insufficient turnout of participants

• VDC SGA convened Feb 25-27 at same venue

• Participated in by 472 orgs from 17 regions

NEDA-Regions and LGU leagues• SRs have been oriented on NAPC and NAPC

processes, and introduced to lead-agencies• SRC has been organized, SR Flor Cabatingan elected

chairperson (ex-officio vice chair of NAPC en banc)• All councils have conducted their 1st regular

meeting, refined and finalized their 3-year sectoral agenda and formulated their 2010 milestone agenda

What has been done:• Four councils have conducted their 2nd council mtg• BSU refining further (packaging) sectoral agendas,

for uploading in NAPC website and dissemination

1. Coordinate with different national and local government agencies and the private sector to assure full implementation of all social reform and poverty alleviation programs;
